I just bought Dobinsons MRA lift kit and this happened

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I am in the process of modifying my car and while researching I found this website and I found it useful so I created an account,

I just installed dobinsons MRA suspension which lifted the car almost one inch. MRAs are a 3-way adjustment suspension which allows you to adjust high and low compression speeds and rebound speed. I noticed they installed the shocks in a way that the rebound adjustment knob is facing towards the car's frame. What I know it should by facing outward so it is easy to adjust. When I asked them why they said this is the correct way and the owner should not modify it! if he needs to modify it he should bring the car to the workshop and they will do it for him which is not what I saw online.

They also said this knob is very easy to accidentally turn until it gets removed completely. What I know is that it has clicks and it will stop rotating ant max/min setting.

If anyone has the same suspension can you please tell how they installed it. Any other opinion from others is welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Faisal..

@Faisal Al Mamari share some pictures…

Sorry for the late response,

about the rear shocks, I was wrong, it has to be installed that way because if the rebound knob was facing the wheel you will not be able to rotate it due to small available space.
It seems like the front shocks have no rebound setting (so it is a 2-way adjustment not 3) because if there is one, to reach it you will have to remove the battery in one side and the air intake in the other.
I still need a confirmation regarding the front shocks.
