Frederic
@Chema we have seen you taking that 212 everywhere with us. Could you perhaps give us a few pros and cons what you found out about the car? Thanks! Chema
Hello Fred, sure i can share some comments, more focus in the normal use of the car, as is my daily car, than related the offroad skills, as my experience off road is quite limited. Pros: Price Space and equipment. Cheap maintenance. No issues till date 30K Km. Capable off road, more than the owner 🙃. Suspension's compatible with Jeep & many gadgets and tunning options. Cons: Heavy on fuel. Gearbox not very smooth. Limited workshops available. Suspension not smooth out of the desert. Small delays in the gearbox, specially in manual mode. Not very powerful, mandatory to play in the turbo blowing window for funny moments. All in all, the car makes the job decently, on and off road. I am quite happy despite the cons..... for the moment. Hope this briefing helps to someone who is thinking to buy one, in any case do not hesitate to ask for more particular questions if is the case. See you! 1
ChrisW
Great write up @Chema - thank you for sharing. It’s been great to see some new brands arriving on the sand. Having a variety of cars available to us is always good. I’m pretty sure there’s no such thing as a 100% dune driving car, there will always be some area of advantage and compromise. Sounds like the 212 is nicely balanced however!
Frederic
Thank you so much @Chema! This single review is worth ten times more than the various YouTube videos from people doing a quick spin in half desert and giving their biased opinion 😁 "Go as far as you can see; once you get there, you'll be able to see further."
