Gear shifting with a clunck

Hello, I have a 2007 Grand Cherokee, sometimes in certain conditions the gears clunk when changing.

For example when I accelerate and then go to stop but the traffic starts again and I apply the gas there is a delay and clunk.

Not always but it's there. No issue with drive shafts so it must be in the gears?

Any suggestions?

Jeep gearbox is one of the most weakest part. However in your case its not dying its just little upset with you .

Change the gear oil and filter, more than likely it will help.

My 2004 JGC WJ Gear clunks all the time on shift! Especially from D to Park... major clunk! I hope thats not bad news!

what is cost if i change gear box brand new original.

I have no idea how much money new gearbox, but repairing less than 5000aed. I have changed before solenoid assembly (around 2000). I have same problem with clunk now and very sun i will inform You what is problem and what is solution.
