the bmw convertible top is not locking WHY

the I have a 2003 BMW 325 convertible. The cover for the convertible top compartment is not locking

i am not a car expert so i cant understand the problem.

please help

As the BMW system is too complex it will first require a proper scanning that a BMW authorized workshop will be able to do with a proprietary BMW scanning tool to find the exact problem.

Trying to experiment the repairs on your own without scan data and knowledge of the system is highly not recommended.
