battery light wont go off

i have a 2004 HSE and the problem is the battery

after coming from holiday (a week) the car wont start so i jump start the car and now it is working fine but he battery light wont go off

Take for long drive for more than an hour, as it might mean that battery isnt getting fully charged in short run and throw battery light on thinking that battery is weak or dying.

Is car starting fine now after jump start once????
