Coolant thermostat troubles

Please share the common causes of coolant thermostat troubles. Also, what trouble codes do we receive in such a case and how to diagnose the same?

Whenever the thermostat stick is shut down, it causes the engine to overheat. And whenever the engine is overheated because of abnorml operating temperature, it pops up the trouble code of coolant thermostat.

to fix it, one needs to check the temperature. You can use the thermometer to check the exact temperature in the thermostat. If its boiling, you need to replace the thermostat because it can be internal oil leaking.
