how am i smelling fuel in the car.

when i smelled fuel from the car i checked the fuel tank for leaks even the place where the fuel is put in was tightly closed. how else do i smell fuel i the car?

Must locate and check the fuel pump surroundingg, it might be leaking from there. Its usually placed under back seat but im not sure about right location of fuel pump in cayenne as im still planning to buy one, and hope i will be cayenne owner soon like you.

Yes it could be the pump and filter which Akbar you are correct is under the back seat.

Have you already checked if the leak was coming from the pump and filter? You might also check the O-ring in the gas cap. It seems a lot of people are having problems with that cap recently...
