why did the interior lights stayed on all night

there is this small thing that when i switch off the car the interior light stayed on all night the doors were closed properly then i dont understand why this happened.

the sensors that give the interior lights that the door is closed maybe the reason. see if that connection is broken its the same one that shows in the dashboard if the door is closed properly.

nothing to worry but do that soon or else the bulbs may get fused and then there will be one more problem to take care of.

did the battery of the car die when this happened what i did is switch on the interior lights and switched off the car without switching off the lights and the battery died. I had to replace the battery as it didnt get charged after this incident.

if the sensor or the fuse is not working correctly then also this may have happened that the lights were on all night.
