Dear desert friends @Theo09 @Issam Atra @Vishnu Ramankutty @Shiboo Kr @Abhilash Kottakkal @Haneef Thayyil @Davie Chase @DTG @Arun Menon @Pavel Pashkovskiy @Amir Amiri @Arda YagciogluThank you for joining, and look forward to meet many new friends. Will be great if you can be ready to do the briefing by 5:30am, means you reach 10 minutes earlier, deflate and flag on. Hope all new joiners have watched all videos and went through desert driving notes carefully. Margham is a very nice area for NB level drives, and hoping still the same, and without bushes, as many desert areas are full of plants and bushes. We will be moving as per the below convoy order, and using Radio Channel 2 (446031). Please do not hesitate to reach me on 0506318834 for any requirement. See you tomorrow morning. Nice evening.3 points

Dear Desertnauts a few info about the drive, while I am about to fly back to the Gulf's shores. We plan to execute quite a technical drive, likely in an area that will not see the challenge augmented by too much vegetation, other than the Ghaf trees that dot the northern border of the Solar Park area, under the watchful, sometimes menacing, eye of Sauron (AKA the Solar Tower). In fact, we plan to navigate almost by sight alone, following the line of trees that are visible from the very entry into the Lisaili plateau, from the Solar Park side. As for our meeting point, which I will post ASAP, please reach the third roundabout on the road between Qudra's Last Exit and Solar Park's Innovation Center, drive around it, head back toward Qudra, and exit between the guard rails, onto the sand and gravel track below the pylon line. At the moment, this will be the convoy order: @Imran Kashif in Second Lead @Mohit Gurnani at #3 @Brett Eicher at #4 @Bravoecho at #5 @Zulfikhar Naiyar at #6 @Salim Akhtar at Center @Stumpy Paj at #8 @Pierre de Maigret at #9 @Mark B at #10 @Bjoern at #11, and @Naveen Raj in Sweep We'll choose the radio channel on the spot. Looking forward to seeing you all at 7:00 AM on Sunday. Enjoy the end of the week.2 points

Dear friends @Thejas Uthran @Gautam Banka @Glenn W @Harshal @Hugo @topgear @Jaro Tuzinsky Thank you all for joining the night drive and being at the meeting point ahead of time and sharing all the passion along. It was great pleasure for me to meet old friends as well as new ones. We were all set and In a “pitch black “ wind blowing night we took our root almost straight from Tawi nezwa to the rock where every one was ready for the second more demanding and thrilling second half of the drive. The sand was soft and super soft in some areas and maintaining the momentum was crucial to get away especially in the climbs at big red. Couple of refusals were expected and probably the only true situation encountered when the Prado was bogged sideways in tricky angle which entailed to anchor it from above for extra safety as there was no room for an error here and the rest came smooth thereafter . I always finish my drives with a take home massage . few things to remember: If you encounter multiple refusal always check your tire pressure as it tends to rise especially in the summer. maintaining focus is prime in desert driving and it’s just split second distraction might end in misshapen or loss of track. we are all tempted to maintain the line however this shouldn’t be at expanse of your own safety , just surf along the current and never agains it ( NO GRAVITY FIGHT ) At the end I would like to thank the support team for their presence to guide help and enjoy the drive . @Benjamin perfect second lead as usual 🙏@Simon D your last min addition was highly appreciated and much needed. 🙏@Davie Chase having you in the sweep position is definitely no less important than the first car leading . Thanks for every thing 🙏 All and all it was a lovely , yet challenging thrilling drive in the dark and I hope you enjoyed as much as I did. take care and see you soon in the sand Seidam Lovely pictures thanks dear 🙏1 point

Amazing drive. Despite the high temperature, all showed on time, and got ready to move. Had to do briefing while starting the drive, since it was really hot and not convenient to stand more under the sun. As soon as radio check done and briefing over, we started crossing the most un pleasant part of mahafiz, with many bushes. Visited few bowls, and started moving towards faya. Faya was really amazing with very smooth un touched track, allowed us to keep moving, crossing the little fossil rock, till we reach the back of faya dune. All made his way climbing and down again, from both sides of the bowl. All enjoyed, then after that to faya. Wanted to reach top, and start taking videos for all, and suddenly found most of you guys already behind me 😅. Thought, will stop for few minutes to try to enjoy the sun set, and the wind, which was not bad. Down from the center of faya, to ask big boys IM level drivers to climb from the right side.By around 7 started moving out. @lucas amat first time driving together, you did amazing job, with your little liberty Jeep. I really liked how you were driving and appreciating your car capacity. Keep it up. @Saverio Arena again first time meeting, you did very well, no issues all the way through. @Abdelghani @Hugo @KAMALIO good job, nice meeting you again. Big thanks for the support @Mohamad Anwer @Benjamin @Pacific and @salah2u sweeping us. Thank you friends again for joining, and the most important for the great job, exiting without any shoveling or tugging, which was really tough to do under such weather. Nice weakened. Take care1 point

Hii Hisham, I am really sorry I won't be able to join. From yesterday's ride there were some damages to the vehicles bumbers and couldn't get it replaced today as spare parts were not available. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will join the next week's drive.0 points
