Thank you @Sam Selim for the amazing drive! Had an absolute blast. It was my first official support drive and I had a great time got some awesome content and learned a lot along the way! Thanks for the second lead @Gertjan and sweep @Krinesh and everyone who joined and made the drive fun! @Riyad @saumik1989 @Myrko @Gautam Banka @Danie @Chema And of course, the highlight of the day was getting my axle damage inside the double bowl! Somehow made it back home safely! Parts ordered and getting ready for next weekend already! Hopefully, the Ram will be back in action soon! See you all soon! Thanks to all who attended my first partial lead drive, and especially @Andrew John Melvill for offering to keep an eye on me as second lead. we started out in the South Western part of secret dunes, between the pylon track and love lake to the right. The evening before recce helped us select a better entry point, clean longitudinal dunes slightly more technical with a few soft patches to sink the complacent. Then headed east to the sabhka and back the pylon track to enter secret dunes from the east. the convoy did really well, so we kept a good pace and upped the speed every now and again. The support team did well guiding out the few refusals. A good drive we covered 57m

💗 Driving Together for a Cause That Matters – Carnity Pink Rock Drive 🎗️ Some drives are about the journey, and some are about the purpose behind it. Our Carnity Breast Cancer Awareness Drive at Pink Rock, Sharjah, on 18th October was one of those special mornings that reminded us what our community truly stands for. 💕 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and made this initiative so beautiful and meaningful. It was wonderful to see the Carnity family come together, not just for our shared love of driving, but to support a cause that touches so many lives. A special shout-out to Vanessa, our lead , for leading the drive, and to Ishak and Mike for their support, guidance, and efforts in making the morning such a smooth and memorable experience. thank you and a special thanks to @Radhika for a quick and much needed yoga session. Gaurav's vision in building this community has brought so many people together, and mornings like these remind us how much more Carnity is than just a motoring community. We missed having you with us, and we look forward to the day we can all share these special moments together again. At Carnity, we believe our community is about more than cars and drives. It is about friendship, compassion, and coming together to make a difference. This drive was a beautiful reminder of what we can achieve when we unite for something bigger than ourselves. Breast cancer awareness is a message that deserves to be shared every day. Let’s continue to encourage early detection, support those fighting the battle, and stand beside survivors and families whose lives have been touched by it. 🎀 Thank you for being part of the Carnity family. You made this morning truly special. Here’s to more drives with purpose, stronger friendships, and a community that continues to make a difference. 💗🏁 Keep driving. Keep caring. Keep the Carnity spirit alive!

What a great morning out @Vanessa8580, and everyone that joined in support of this important cause. It was so good to see all the new faces, especially the ladies behind the wheel - please keep on joining future club drives! Thank you @Radhika for the yoga session on top of pink rock, which was more a 'hot yoga' session, and getting the joints moving and 'creaking' for some of us - please share the pictures you took of our poses. @Radhika, you persevered with your Jimny and with @Frederic showing how capable that little machine really is, I hope you continue to drive and enjoy it to the fullest. Also thank you @Vanessa8580 for entrusting me with my 'first' second lead and hope I did the job well. Thank you for all the pictures @Mike M., you should add Drive Photographer to your list of expertise now. Nadia and I hope to see you all again soon on the sand!

This will be one of my favorite drives, not because of the pace, not because of the track, not because of the weather or the fun we had while driving, neither because of the dunes BUT for one simple reason: the club truly stands for TEAM SPIRIT Every member who joined today became a support member at some point—helping through the pop-outs, tackling crests that needed shoveling, and managing the car breakdown. Even when we offered a smaller convoy so people could leave on time while we assisted the broken-down car, not a single person wanted to leave anyone behind. It reinforced exactly what we stand for: we go as one team, and we exit as one team. Thank you all for demonstrating this spirit. I look forward to seeing everyone again soon! @Gaurav Soni @Looper @Andrew John Melvill @Infaz @Amer Alsabbagh @Kishor @Sheho @Rashid Alseeni @Enrico - Mountain ! @Rashid Alseeni - you dont need to be sorry for today, it can happen with anyone of us and glad that we were all out safe and hope your car is fixed soon and see you soon ! We all learn everyday !

Hey guys - all in all a great drive, thank you for both attending today and sticking with me! We had a mix of everything, starting out with a warm up on the small but rolling dunes at Tilal, before moving to explore the wider area of play dunes. We then picked up the "desert highway" and took some higher speed Baja style on the track. After hitting the Fox Dens and taking a break, we moved into the technical terrain - firstly to search out some bowls (...which turned out to be more like a tea cup than a bowl), and then to exercise our technical driving skills more generally. After working our way through some tight tunes, we picked up the track and flew west towards Sweihan, taking some time to explore the farm areas and confirm the existence of an exit track. @JC_E - A special thank you for your work in second lead today. Our mix of fast driving, slower technical and everything in between meant you had to work especially hard to manage distance to my car and picking out the optimal line - which you did excellently. Thank you. @Enrico - Mountain - The desert driving skills are really coming together well! Today we got to see you applying some good techniques for higher speed driving, and finding the right balance when taking a blind crest. The brief stuck was no issue - far better to approach such a feature with too little speed than the other way around. @Piotr. - Good work with the Raptor today. You mastered getting the car through the technical sections, well done. @Ahmed Farouk - The shorter Jeeps always demand accurate steering, and you kept the car on the right line in all terrains - good work, well done. Keep practicing the convoy spacing - today we had a big range of speeds and terrains, which requires choosing the right distance at the right time. @Zsolt - Good support work today, thank you for jumping straight in with helping the convoy. I hope you're not too tired after the following drive this afternoon! @Danie - Can really see the confidence coming through. You put the 2-door Jeep where it needed to be on all the lines. Good work. @Hani crest king - I always love seeing the truck out on the sand! Pleasure driving with you, and extra points for bringing a suit jacket out with you too 😂

Hope you get the car sorted soon and see you back in the dunes again. Thank you, @DP1011, for organizing the drive!! Amazing convoy today! That’s what this sport is all about learning from every experience! helping each other out and coming out stronger as a team!! Thank you, everyone, for today’s drive and for making me feel welcome on my first drive back with Carnity after three years away! I was definitely a little rusty, especially with the ridge riding, and struggled to keep up at times. I really appreciate everyone’s patience while I found my rhythm again. It was a learning experience, and I took a lot away from it. Unfortunately, near the end, what appeared to be a seized alternator left my car unable to continue. A special thank you to @DP1011 for being so supportive throughout, @Infaz for pulling me out with his Ram, and @Gaurav for taking the wheel of my car and getting it safely out. I’m very grateful to everyone who stayed and helped. I felt bad for holding the group up, especially on my first drive back, but your support reminded me why I wanted to return to this community. Hopefully, I’ll see you all again soon with the car sorted and a little more confidence! 🙏

This drive and the vibe of the drive are a testament to the foundations on what makes @Carnity unique within the off-roading community. Since i was the designated photographer this time as per @Vanessa8580's orders, i have created a one drive folder as there are almost 300 photos taken and i got errors while trying to upload some of them. I encourage you all to take a look at your photos, especially the newbies as there are some interesting shots especially while climbing pink rock. I plan to keep this folder for a week or so before deleting so i hope you get a chance to visit and download your photos before that time. You all drove great and it was a great learning experience to many people today. More to come in the future. See you all in the sand soon. Today was a great day of Carnity desert off-roading! Thank you @DP1011 for organising a great drive with a fantastic support team (which was everyone on the drive). The event that happened twice ('popouts') is the thing we shall not mention, as it seems speaking about it only makes it a reality - a mistake I made last week, and a hypothesis we confirmed today. Glad to have been able to assist with my Air Jack and @Gaurav Soni for demonstrating how to use it so effectively, he even gave me a second opportunity to practice on 'purpose'. Everyone drove so well, especially when tackling the longer flowing dunes and ridges! But the key take-away today is the Carnity Club spirit and comradery that turns every trip into a life-long memory. I uploaded a few pictures to today's gallery.

We got an early start, and I immediately set the tone for the evening by getting stuck. Twice. 😅 We spent a fair bit of time looping around the opening section, getting a feel for the terrain and figuring out just how dark things were going to get before pushing on. Apparently we were also a very attractive sight, because the quadwheelers absolutely refused to leave us alone and followed us around for a good chunk of the drive. As the night went on and everyone settled in, we started finding some bigger lines and managed to squeeze in a few properly big sidies toward the end. Then it was time for coffee. Except I forgot the coffee. Thankfully @Alexanderrr came prepared with some Karak, and I managed to salvage the situation with a couple of cans of Nescafé. 😂 A slightly chaotic start, some persistent quadwheelers, big sidies, and improvised coffee. Good night out @Zsolt @MarkH @Thomas54675 @khurram @Sandeep N @Alexanderrr @Giacomo

Hey guys, It was great seeing you all again this morning for our drive in the desert. As I mentioned, this was my first newbie drive as well (...as lead!), and I couldn't have asked for a better group. We started out initially moving slightly to the west, before turning back towards the east and heading into the sun. The initial dunes were flat and open, moving into slightly more technical areas which required precise steering, use of momentum and power. We had a few minor refusals and one stuck - all easily dealt with and a good way to build experience of how to move our cars on the sand. We then cruised easily towards the Fox Dens, making a few stops along the way to check tyres and manage a few more refusals. The Fox Dens sadly had no foxes today, but was a nice moment to stop and chat. Thereafter we proceeded east - some larger and more flowing dunes this time where we could practice driving at a slightly higher speed, before joining the "desert highway" and proceeding towards our eventual exit at Tilal. There was some great driving and friendly help towards each other today, which is the ideal environment for us all to be learning in - thank you. For future drives we can focus on finding the right spacing between cars (to allow us to better flow through soft/more complex lines). The level of radio/comms was great, and we even got to practice some more advanced stuff like losing our Sweep... 😉 A quick cut of clips from our drive, and a summary of our route below...see you next time! My thanks again to @Vanessa8580 for smoothing out my lines and helping me pace the drive correctly, and to @Ishak, @Diego and @Imran Asghar for helping to keep the drive flowing. Thank you for taking the convoy this morning @ChrisW, Ill have to wait till Wednesday night to meet the Aussie legend @_luke_. Today was a good mix with alot of fun with the baja bits. Although my driving is improving it was still me who had to get a tug or two, the first not giving enough gas to climb a hill following a dip, and the second getting plomped on a bushel - someone had to provide the entertainment . Thank you @JC_E for the pull, the wildebeest is not as light as you thought hey.

Temperature outside was 19° when I reached the meeting point. It was also slightly foggy. The ground seemed wet from the dew or rain from last night. It ended up being a muddy drive. The convoy moved swiftly. In the middle we made some changes to the convoy order, so that everyone is stacked up perfectly. Annoyingly someone on a Porche Cayan interjected himself into the convoy one dune before Big Red and after a while gotten himself stuck. @Andrei S, @Zulfikhar Naiyar & @Rachid recovered him. I would have left him to struggle a bit longer before helping. They should face the consequences of stupidity. I wouldn’t have made them feel help is at hand because that will give them false confidence of doing it again. I couldn't drive very slowly, because my car was making some noise in low RPM and was not getting the power in the low end. So the drive was a bit faster for few than they would have liked. I tried to keep it to the minimum possible. @Shiju Raju: You were a perfect second lead today. Keeping adequate distance. @Rory Noone: Congratulations on your first drive with Carnity. You did very well, and you passed the Carnity test with flying colors thrown at you by Andrie. Your hesitation from the start of the drive was gone by the break time and I could see you doing quite well. @Mohammad Javed: It was our second drive together and I see you as a confident driver. @Harish M: After we upped your convoy order a bit you did fantastic. Your hesitation was gone and you could navigate all the twists and turns I offered confidently. @Rachid: You are ready to take on the next level. A big thank you to @Zulfikhar Naiyar at the center forward and @Andrei S at the sweep for all the support. I would appreciate all yours' feedback on the drive. See you all in the next one. Till then take care.

Agree with all the comments above! Well Done @J-P L it was a real pleasure to be part of your 1st partial lead. You did really well, especially with the pacing of the drive to the level of the members joining. We started in the extended secret garden area, discovering a good mix of technical dunes, very soft patches and some flowing ridges, a very good hour spent in an area that is not driven much. We then proceeded to the secret garden proper and had a blast hunting down ridge after ridge, while trying to keep up with the Jack Russel of the car world. Everyone drove extremely well making it a true flowing drive. Big thanks to @Mahesh_, @Andrei S and @Zsolt for providing exceptional support.

Thank you @Andrew John Melvill for organising a great drive this morning and congratulations to @J-P L for delivering a textbook first partial lead! This was one of my top drives with Carnity thus far. @J-P L your pace was spot on, giving us a good mix of technical, ridges, and flowing bits! The convoy was able to keep steady spacings behind you and we never felt we had to rush to keep up or slow down unnecessarily before obstacles. You provided regular short breaks (which was fantastic), and kept the convoy on its toes, so much so that time just flew by. I cannot commend you enough on how good this drive was, keep it up and we look forward to joining one of your leads again.

Dear Desertnauts a very short briefing for tomorrow's drive. The goal is to go back and forth from Badayer to 2nd December Cafateria, with the twofold purpose of 1) exploring the lesser driven northern and southern segments of this area, and 2) to spend some time in the taller dunes visible on both sides of @2December usual entry point. We'll start at Badayer, on the side of Big Red, where we'll return to enjoy the sunset at the end of the drive. The convoy order at the moment is the following: @Thomas54675 in Second Lead @Jerome at #3 @Noufal at #4 @Hartzel at #5 @Carl Stanley at #6 and @J-P L in Sweep. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow for the start of the weekend.

It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of this convoy, even though I held it back most of the time! But I learnt so much in just one drive. I am making a quarter year resolution to join more newbie drives! I want to thank you all for being patient with me and my car I wish we could spend more time doing some movements but I'm not losing hope, maybe future drives will have a full on session! Thank you to the whole team for letting me be a part of this, it was also very emotional for me being there after so many years. The photos are fantastic! I will be using a lot of it on my socials. @Vanessa8580 I love your energy! And to all those who guided me through every ditch, you guys are amazing! Looking forward to more! Cheers!

We got underway right on time and headed straight for Old Lady Dune. No warm-ups allowed. Straight into switches, climbs and some fun lines to wake everyone up properly. Old Lady was pretty tracked out, which made the south-side climb to the top harder than usual. Rather than keep fighting it, we looped around to the north-west and found a cleaner way up onto the main ridge. From there, we were rewarded with some stunning views and spent a good chunk of the morning riding the ridgeline all the way down. Somewhere along the way, we also picked up a random Nissan who apparently decided to join the convoy and became our unofficial second sweep. 😂 Next up were the big Al Saad power bowls, where we spotted a few foxes and had our first bit of excitement with a pop-out. Plenty of hands made quick work of it, and we were soon moving again. Then it was over to the Three Trees sidie wall, where we spent some time experimenting with different faces, lines and approaches before moving on to our final stop — Nagrah. We climbed it from both sides, enjoyed the views, played around with some sidies, then climbed it again because… why not? From there, we jumped onto the trail and made a fast exit. Excellent driving from everyone throughout. Fast. Fun. Big dunes. Big lines. And more than just a little bit EXTREME. 😎 See you on the next one @_Herman_ @Jerome @Chema @Zsolt @Yury.bel @Abdullah A. @Piotr. @Cristian

Please be aware of the speed cameras close to the meet point - they are set at 100kph and it’s Abu Dhabi, so no buffer! https://maps.app.goo.gl/cuTYFzjjs9ZkkJez8?g_st=ic 24.3818030, 54.9872800 I would recommend you do final checks tonight, in particular making sure your car is ready, you have water and snacks packed, you have key equipment (flag, tyre deflation/inflation, shovel etc), and your radio is programmed for Channel 10 (446.231). When you arrive please do go ahead and deflate your tires (around 12-14 PSI should be fine for highway tyres, and you can go a little lower for all terrains), put up your flag and get ready. We will then get together for our briefing. The main goal for tomorrow is to enjoy ourselves in the desert and gain experience of how our cars feel on the sand. We will drive at a level which allows all of us to do this with smiles! I also 100% expect many of us to get stuck occasionally, and that’s totally fine - it’s all part of desert driving and nothing to fear We have some excellent support tomorrow with Vanessa. Ishak, Imran and Diego. Looking forward to seeing you in the morning, and if you have any changes of plan, please do let us know here.

The weekend is almost here, and I'm getting excited for a Saturday night time session! We're in a deep waning crescent moon right now,.. with moonrise expected around 04:30.. which means it will be dark. DARK DARK. Please remember to bring a torch, and also a camp chair for coffee. We have a strong convoy.. so I think we can expect some sick maneuvers and attempts at fun lines 😎😎 Looking forward to seeing you all! @MarkH @Alexanderrr @Sandeep N @Zsolt @Giacomo @khurramm

Thank you @Looper for a great drive this morning! The wet sand and mud gave the desert a whole new character, yet you led the convoy smoothly all the way to Big Red. Thank you for your kind words and for saying I'm ready for the next level. Hearing that from you means a lot. Your drives have taught me so much, from reading the dunes to keeping the right spacing, and I'm excited for what comes next. Thanks as well for letting us help the Porsche. It was valuable recovery practice for me, and I appreciate the lesson behind your comment: rushing to help can give people false confidence. The desert should never be taken lightly, especially without the right car setup, equipment, knowledge and support. A big thank you to @Shiju Raju, @Zulfikhar Naiyar and @Andrei S for their support throughout the morning and to everyone who joined the drive. Also, the drive report with the convoy, map and speed chart is excellent! Looking forward to the next one.

Thanks @Mark Bfor an awesome morning... Lots of learning - especially getting the hang of taller dunes and ridges - how to get on to them better.. reattempting and choosing lines based on momentum, and using a bit of steering left right to gain traction in heavily used tracks... And what lovely views... Thanks @Danie, @Thomas54675for the support in getting out of the bowl... See you all in the sand soon.

Good afternoon @Waqarㅤ@Luis Acostamadiedo@Igor Krezic@Harish M@J-P L@Jessica Arro@Mohammad Javed@Mark J@Rachid@Stephan Guglieri@Simon Thomas@JC_E For the newcomers in our club Luis and Igor, welcome to Carnity Offroad Club! We are planning on an easygoing track that brings us from Murquab southwards until we reach the Solar Park, which could be a good opportunity to take some photos. From there we will head up North with the plan of exiting nearby the well know three trees. Some small pointers for tomorrow: * Try to arrive by 6.45AM so you have time to deflate and set up your offroad flag. * Upon arrival you can deflate to 14psi. If you need any help we will be glad to help. * We will use Carnity Channel 10: 446.231Mhz on the walkie talkies. If you do not have a radio yet we can lend you one for your first drive. See you all in the morning! Vanessa
