@Emanuel @Looper @_luke_ @Diego @Riyad @Danie @_Herman_ @Infaz @Krinesh @Noufal @Ahmed Farouk @Ash S. Dear Desert Surfers! The RSVP is now closed, looking forward to seeing you all in the morning! Some quick notes to get us organised: 1.) With the very kind support of Emanuel and Looper, we will split the convoy so we can run two small but perfectly formed groups across the sands. No racing or shenanigans planned, but we will run similar routes and aim to meet at the Ghafftein Bowl for 08:00 for a social break together. 2.) We will aim to be rolling by 06:45 - so please aim to have cars ready by 06.35 so we can do a quick brief and get rolling. 3.) Please see below the Convoy split - Convoy 1 will gather to the left side of the meet point, and Convoy 2 to the right side . 4.) Convoy 1 will be on Channel 10 (446.231), and Convoy 2 will be on Channel 9 (446.206). Meet Point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/DHWXGk57ijEAENYW9 / 24.360611, 55.401139 Thanks all - looking forward to seeing you!6 points -

Good Morning All @_luke_, @Raptor Runner - Praveen, @Khalid Sharaf, @MarkH, @Vanessa8580, @Lukas Wii, @Kirill K, @saumik1989, @Looper, @Hartzel, @khurramm, @Deepak Eswar and @J-P L The tight and twisty dunes are calling! Please check your cars over today before the drive and bring plenty of fluids for yourselves and any passengers. There may be a bit of shoveling so need to stay hydrated. The plan is to hit two different technical dune cordons with a break in the middle at Cresent Moon Lake. The convoy list is as follows: See you all tomorrow for a briefing at 06h30, please ensure that your tires are deflated and flags up before then. We will be using CH 4 on the radios.5 points -

@_luke_ thank you for coming back and getting me. Indeed google map does crazy stuff. after a long drive it was worth exploring these untapped dunes. With super soft sands every one drove like pro’s. @Giacomo it was good meeting you. @Piotr. thank you for the amazing videos and pictures. It was fun driving with you. @ChrisW thank you for guiding me on refusals and encouraging when done right. it was good night with some amazing cold coffee.3 points -

Another great night in the desert. Thanks @_luke_ for organizing this trip and support team @Giacomo and @ChrisW to make it smooth. @Noufal it was great to meet you. Nothing beats stopping in the middle of the desert for chat and coffee. I put together a short video from the drive to capture the atmosphere. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DdG3duvILb1/?stkn=YzVyaGowbHZvbmtx See you next time3 points -

Drive Summary We kicked off at 20:00 with a short warm-up loop while @Noufal made his way over after trusting one of Google’s more imaginative “roads” and running a little late. The warm-up quickly delivered a couple of really nice ridge climbs, and from the top we spotted some promising terrain further out in the distance. Promising, as it turned out, meant deep, soft sand. Lots of it. And plenty of vegetation thrown in for good measure. Refusals were kept to a minimum until I managed to get crested, as usual, on an otherwise beautiful ridge line while trying to cross back to the right. “Got scared, got stuck.” A nice shovelling session followed by a little finessing with the winch by @Giacomo has us all moving again fairly quickly. From there we found some smooth, flowing bowls and had a relaxed cruise around before the most important part of the evening began: Coffee Club. Both caf and decaf (thanks @Piotr.) were on offer, followed by a good chat in the sand. A fun, easygoing night with some nice terrain, a little exploration, one predictable stuck, and plenty of coffee. Here is a nice pic from @ChrisW of me wondering how it all went so wrong. again 😂.3 points -

Amazing drive Andrew & Team! Thanks for all the support and help on my first FB drive in the most technical dunes I have ever driven…. Loved it, fun and learning experience ❤️2 points -

Thanks all for joining today and for being on time. The drive lived up to the reputation of GoTech drives of the past. With many refusals and stucks, all met with teamwork and smiles. Part one was tough with lots of close unstructued dunes and many tight bowls. After around 90 min we stopped for a very necessary break at crescent moon lake. Was good to catch up with everyone and partake of the snack Luke brought along. Part 2 was the highlight for me with clean white sand and once we were through the 1st very tight section it opened up for some lovely ridge runs allowing the drive to flow. At 09h30 we turned towards the track to be treated to a large herd of Oryx, before we headed towards the exit. A special note to @Raptor Runner - Praveen who was on his 1st FB drive, great handling of your truck! The entire convoy drove very well handled the technical terrain very well. Lastly could not have done it with the amazing support from @_luke_, @Vanessa8580, @Looper and @J-P L Till next time2 points -

Dear Desertnauts A quick briefing for tomorrow's drive. Get ready for a possibly challenging "technical" drive, on soft sand, and through tight dunes, with bowls, low but very wavy crests, and some vegetation, especially closer to the Qudra area. On the way back to the "Eye of Sauron" we should find the time to drive on some long range, taller dunes, where we'll do our best to speed up and practice switcing as well as side-slopes. The convoy at the moment looks like this: @Mahmut in Second Lead @Jerome at #3 @Giacomo at Center @Hartzel at #5 @Shary at #6 and @J-P L in Sweep. See you tomorrow afternoon. Have a nice end of the week.2 points -

Thanks everyone, I really enjoyed today! It was quite a simple drive plan today, but we got our fill of climbs, bowls, loops, technical, ridges and switches. Special thanks to @J-P L and @Deepak Eswar for the support and @khurramm in 2nd lead. The big trucks of @Khalid Sharaf and @Jerome gave a good soundtrack to the drive especially while dominating Iftar Bowl. @Ana and @Shary drove briliantly especially during the deep bowl recovery. The route today We also completed the 3rd volume in the short sharp series completing the middle portion of the route.1 point -
