From where you will get it serviced and who will honor the warranty is bigger question than resale value.....! If both doesn't exist then obviously resale value will drop. BMW resale is always very low compare to other luxury brands, added with import issue i dont know what to say.

Have you made sure that car is serviced regularly and spark plugs, wires, and coils are in absolutely healthy condition? If not get them checked to be 100% sure. After that you can look into relays and fuse are all fine, for sake of trouble shooting swap same power relays to each other and see if this problem goes away. This may be an electronic issue, I had something like this with AC system and once electrician fiddling with relays it got corrected as accidentally electrician removed relays and fixed back and during the course AC relay got swapped with other one and it fixed the problem. I changed that faulty relay and never had that same AC problem. Sometimes relays looks and work just fine but due to age and in this hot weather in Dubai resistance decreases and stops working intermittently and that's where you get these weird problems.

Rohit, can you share your experience about fixing the boot please? Mine is slightly lazy now since few months i am noticing, may be its time to get the damper as Vorah advise. Appreciate if you can share the place you got it fix and how much they have charged for the labor? Thanks in advance

they say BMW cars are way better then Mercedes i have owned both and now i wish to buy again ether of the two but i am confused and would really like to be advised as to what should i do.
