Buying an old car is not a safe option. Its a case of hit or miss. If its a hit, then you will happy with your car as you wont be paying much for the maintenance. But if its a miss, then you will end up paying almost half the amount of your car. And generally, old car falls under the category of miss.

Sometimes the oil leakage is because of the broken oil line. I faced the same problem and the garage people said that the oil line was broken. May be it's the same case. You can get the oil line checked.

Hi Everyone! My name is Emad and I have SRX Cadillac from past 2 years. I recently gave my car to servicing. But suddenly, there is a problem in acceleration of the car. When I am driving it looses acceleration on its own. I get no warning if I am stopping the car, and I face no problem the next time. But it keeps repeating after some days. Do you know the actual design of the 1948 Cadillac was not undertaken until after the war, though. When the assignment was taken, the design department had to go out on strike. Window was a little open and so there was this noise but yeah the mechanic said that the rubber thing also can make such noise.

I get little humming noise on highway at 100 kmph and above. Its more like constant humming and buzzing noise from window which increases with speed increase. Is it window jammer leaking air or engine bay have something that is crying at high speed. Haven't noticed this humming before since 3 months. Car being regularly serviced on time.

You can definitely show to any good garage in Al quoz, Max garage, Technical garage, House of cars etc. Get the computer diagnostic check again i really doubt it all above three things need change at same time, highly unlikely. May be workshop doing more of guess work than falling short of their words if misfiring doesn't get cure with one. Usually misfiring causes are spark plugs, coils, Air leak / Vaccum leak. Air/vaccum leak can be checked mechanically from outside the engine by listening the hissing or drop few drops of water on and around manifold area. Spark plug and coils are difficult to identify if they faulty, so as a rule of cost change the spark plug first as its lot cheaper than coil and then go for coil. Usually coil fault comes in computer test so you cant wrong on that expense either.

How is this silicon durable?

The fuse may be getting worn out.Though it is a very small thing to get worried, its will be good to get it check to avoid further damage.

if there was smoke from the hood then it is 90 % Radiator has blown. taking your car on a recovery to a good mechanic is be the best solution.

You can get it done from dealer body shop (1000 aed) or else any denting painting shop outside will do the same in about 300 dhs.

OEM is good enough, but if you like long life one then go for K&N one.

it seems like there is some engine oil burning.

It can be that the belt needs to be changed.

It is best to get the code it is a safety problem.

It can be fuel pump that is not working.
