  1. It's a engine rear main seal, quite prone to fail after certain life. It failed in my Pajero 2 years back too. Fixing it is painful long labor job so make sure you use original Mitsubishi seal, I think it cost 80-100 dhs. Labor might cost you 600-800 dhs (aweer rates), 1000+ (Al quoz rates). @Barry @desertdude and @treks please advise which option is less labor intensive to remove Engine or Gearbox, and also which one is less expensive in terms lubes and parts required? If engine is removed then will it need new coolant, engine oil, freon etc? or whole assembly can be pulled out? If removing gearbox, does it need new gear oil and filter too?
  2. Maybe lot lower, depending on how and which option you take for parts: OEM vs first quality aftermarket. Also research on Arnott spring that come with lifetime warranty if they are available in UAE now. I researched briefly on Arnott for my older Range Rover but haven't got a chance to change EAS before I sold it.
  3. Try Gulf star in Sharjah, they are PRETTY GOOD AND SOLID almost at AAA level but lot cheaper. https://goo.gl/maps/o7fqRu8Grf8ghUtn8 If you want absolute cheapest then try Al Nakhala, they also stock LR used parts in Sharjah, kind of blessing at times.. https://goo.gl/maps/QUmhHCNojdVWmd4z8
  4. For replacing alternator (dynamo) you have to wait for parts shop to source it or get scrapyard help. Im not sure what Abu Corniche is...? If you are in Abu Dhabi, get car on recovery to musaffah and you will still find parts, mechanic and maybe scrap yard. You can find the parts and scrap guy near you from businesses listed here. https://carnity.com/business_listing/car-spare-parts/
  5. Thanks for coming back to break the suspense, please share the sticker which says 51 PSI, it's really weird. Does it show any other reading like 30 - 35 range under normal load....? Or just 51 at max load?
  6. Yes we are camping on Friday night as driving back after the whole day drive will be very tiring. We will be camping closer to the road/track so anyone can leave after the drive as per their convenience.
  7. That's indeed a good price @Per A Is that full comprehensive for 1500...?
  8. Seems like RSA has increased the pricing lately, now 1180 with oman and roadside. That's why I'm checking for other insurances. It's always good to check with real folks before you buy. Of course EU and UK insurance rates and clauses are absurd.
  9. It's time to renew my Pajero, before calling and searching thought of checking here, who recently got the cheapest car insurance? V6, 3.5 liter, with oman and road side. Please share your details with pricing. Thanks.
  10. VERY TRUE AND VERY WELL SAID
  11. Over engineering and after few bad experience either they will fix it or keep letting you try for years like apple face recognition, which finally perfected now.
  12. With hungry birds and tougher economic conditions to beat fierce competition, car companies have to try all route to stay afloat. No surprise, but I find it quiet cheap and shallow tbh. Same way few years back here in UAE Chevrolet gave 7 years warranty with a fine print that only for first owner, lolol. I was about to buy my friend Tahoe and slapped with no warranty for you bro. For hacking people will always find a way to jail break, break encryption, back door as far as there is good motivation for those hackers. So dont loose hope and buy a used tesla and will find a way sooner or later.
  13. It is indeed the most precious and proudest moment for all Seniors, Marshal and Crew when we see new Marshal speaking the same language and frequency of the community that we all share.
  14. Yeah I recently heard Keto from one of the offroader. Was it you @Tbone, right....?
  15. I thought so too, but 17 inch size Im not sure comes in 3 ton pickup. 275/65 R17 seems like Cruiser and Patrol type of size, specifically. Diamond always gets the best riddles for us to test, lol.
  16. If you mention which car you are driving to inflate to 51 PSI will help better.
  17. Eat less, burn more. I know for some it might not work, but so far it's reasonably good for me. When I tend to overeat, it shows up pretty fast.
  18. I listened it again and yes after you mentioned bearing my mind was inclined towards bearing, but knowing H3 leaf spring initially my doubt was on leaf spring holding component like brackets, U clips etc. He can go to any auto pro for free tire check and rotate them to see if he hear any noise then it could be wheel bearing. If not he will have a full access to under body to give suspension parts a nice wiggle to see something is loose or broken.
  19. Sounds like a suspension squeak, but too difficult to catch a noise with outdoor and wind noise. Try to replicate the noise in basement parking to isolate the actual noise. Totally agree, all abroad forums are very informative as those cars break and they discuss stuff to help "EACH OTHER". In UAE, most cars are unbreakable or my friend knows it all.
  20. Thanks @Lucky sAm for sharing this. It is indeed a fantastic DIY job you have done to trim the Nissan Patrol Y62 front bumper, also this new style looks more awesome than the stock bumper and very eye catchy. Also please share the details of how you did it, that can help other Nissan Patrol Y62 owners in the future, as it seems this front bumper is Y62 Achilles heel.
  21. Minor play of 1 cm round movement is acceptable especially on US brands as oppose to German or Japanese brands.
  22. Great it was sorted safely. Can you please measure by yourself (not online info) what is the exact ground clearance of your Murano?
  23. 9 email notifications when we all quoted @Lucky sAm since last 5 days went to spam/trash or he is really keeping busy "always" just like everyone here - Always busy - to not to check, read, write or respond. Wish we knew this today morning Thanks @Wrangeld for bumping this post to make me feel less bad.
