Correct observation @DG707 If he had carried a bit more rolling momentum, he wouldn’t have struggled as much. Gravity wouldn’t have worked against him that heavily. At the Newbie level, we always start with the absolute basics: never fight gravity. This principle must be ingrained in every off-roader from day one. At higher levels, we do challenge gravity at times, but only with proper rolling momentum. If there’s no momentum, or it’s clearly insufficient to complete an advanced maneuver, the correct decision is to back down, reset, and try again, exactly as @Luke K P pointed out. The reason some people still do this is simple: to create a dramatic sand shower that looks exciting on reels. In reality, it often puts the vehicle just seconds away from a rollover. And when a rollover actually happens, those reels never make it to social media.

SHOUT OUT TO ALL THE LEADS/ MARSHALLS and SUPPORT TEAM!!!
Gaurav replied to Theo Prado's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
Thank you so much @Theo Prado for taking the time to write this. Messages like these genuinely mean a lot to everyone behind the scenes. What you’re seeing on the calendar is the result of many people quietly putting in effort week after week. From Experts to Marshals, Senior Marshals, and Crew, every level plays a role in making these experiences possible. Planning, scouting, safety checks, recoveries, convoy flow, mentoring, creativity and execution all come together long before a drive even goes live. The variety you mentioned is exactly what happens when passionate people are given space to contribute ideas and take ownership. Different styles, formats, and concepts are born from various personalities and experiences, and that diversity is one of Carnity’s biggest strengths. Equally important are the members who show up, support, participate, and share feedback. A strong community is built not just by those leading at the front, but also by those enjoying the journey, learning, and encouraging others along the way. On behalf of Team Carnity, thank you for the appreciation and for being part of this journey. It’s this kind of positive energy that keeps everyone motivated to do better, try new things, and keep raising the bar. Here’s to many more drives, ideas, adventures, and memories ahead. 🙌- 2 replies

Hi @Chema these off-road drives are for members who already know the basics of driving their 4x4 safely in the desert. These drives are not training sessions, but are designed to enjoy the desert experience. What an absolutely brilliant execution of an idea that perfectly captures the spirit of off-roading and community. A huge, heartfelt appreciation to @Emanuel for not just leading a drive, but for thinking differently, daring to blend creativity with off-roading, and then executing it with such clarity, creativity, and passion. Coming up with an idea is one thing. Turning it into a smooth, safe, high-energy, and memorable desert experience is truly inspiring. Equally important, massive respect to the entire convoy for embracing the theme, playing along with full enthusiasm, and turning this into a true collective experience rather than just a drive with a title. From the energy, coordination, discipline, and participation, it clearly shows how strong the Carnity culture becomes when everyone contributes. You all are true Rockstars: @Stumpy @Riyad @Eddie-Raptor @Noufal @Ash S. @Carl Stanley @Bjoern @frederic demolder @Alphin Aloor @Sam Selim and Doua (Ash's friend). This is exactly what the Drive Lead Challenge is meant to inspire. Creativity without compromising safety. Fun without losing structure. Expression without ego. Leadership without noise. Experiences that people remember long after the sand is shaken off the tires. Well done, Emanuel. Well done, convoy. This one sets a benchmark and raises the bar for everyone watching and learning. Proud to see this kind of energy, ownership, and innovation. Keep it coming.
