  1. These tyres upper limit is upto 40 when under full load. However keeping in between 30 - 35 all tires is quite appropriate. When in city as Dubai traffic keep at 30-32, its the best pressure for comfort and safety. As higher the pressure lesser the comfort you get in city over the bumps, and while on highway keep at 35 is best and you will get better fuel mileage.
  2. Hmm, that remind me to pull out my Rave CD's and fix this for my RR too. Seriously suffering from this crap, but never remember to pay attention.
  3. Doc responses are quite well. Good luck CJMCG.
  4. Mechanic is quiet right, head gasket is kind of semi consumable item. It stay there forever and keep the seal intact between oil and water. The day car overheat to great extent this gasket expands and loose its place and allow oil and water to mix. Cure to this issue is to change head gasket and yes its a big job, but not impossible job as RR isnt very complex machine to work. Its the mechanic who makes it look complex to get big bucks from RR owners. After all its been favorite car of rich uae local, so it has to earn a bad name being expensive car to get maintain. I have Pajero and RR, and IMHO RR is much much simple machine to work on mechanical side.
  5. Hey Pete, you sound regular offroader. Can i join for wadi trip with my 2000 model Range Rover? Never been offroad in my Rangie yet, so wanted to try it out. I am regularly driving in desert in my SWB pajero almost every week.
  6. Check in glove box in the service manual you must have small booklet showing the operation for Radio and CD player. On back side of it there will be 4 digit hand written code must be there. That's where i found mine. If not, go to Al Tayer with VIN number and they should get you one or reset the system to start without any CODE after battery change. Don't do many fail attempt as it will keep doubling your time to enter code for next attempt. First wrong attempt will make 30 second delay to give another try, next will take 1 minute, then 2 minutes, 4, 8, 16, 32 mins so on.
  7. Every time i start my Range Rover, AC duct start popping for 8 - 10 sec (6-7 pops in total). Its 2000 model 4.6 Range Rover Autobiography. P38 engine. First of all wanted to know what is this poping noise for, is it like a duct opening or is it a malfunctioning? Its like this since i bought the car last summer. Just for fyi the heater is cut off and small book is shown on HVAC screen down. Now since last week i can hear the popping of the AC duct but it isn't opening and when the AC in switched to max output i can only hear a whistle but no air comes out. I found a way around this problem that is to restart the car two to three times and which opens the ducts after the pops finishes. How can i fix this problem guys, please help. Dont want to take to Al Tayer as its a expensive knife. Thanks guys.
