  1. I missed that, where are the meetings advertised? Out of the country until 9th April, would be good to have a drive with other Green Ovals
  2. Welcome Prufster, nice clean Disco. Now you need to use it for what it was meant for .... off roading
  3. A linkage for the D2 is available through the UK, sorry but off hand can't remember where I got mine, but I had it fitted by Al Tayer during a service several years ago. My ARB air lockers were fitted by ICON in Dubai.
  4. Farnley, what type of driving terrain are you planning?
  5. Anecdotal information from two different Landy owners that I know very well would lead me to avoid A2B at all costs. AAA are pretty good, I have been using their Rashidiya garage for over 10 years without any major issues.
  6. For non-Al Tayer service try AAA in Rashidiya or Al Quoz
  7. Nobody has mentioned injectors yet, I had some issues a few years back with one of my Disco IIs and had to replace 3 injectors.
  8. What year / model of Rangie dod you have? One of my Disco IIs cruise control stopped working and it was going to cost around AED11K to fix it as it is also related to the "Three Amigos" lights issue ..... not worth it really unless you really use it for long distance driving.
  9. If this is a Disco SII then most likely the battery in the fob is dead.
  10. I was under the impression that it was a mechanical linkage on the DII and not electrical. Some earlier models pre-2002 and all 2004 models should have the connection for Central Diff Lock (CDL) on the transfer box, it is worth fitting the linkage to utilize this off road.
  11. I have OME on my Disco, works well with Devon bumpers and winch
  12. Check out Bling My Truck, I replaced my old Land Rover Expedition roof rack a month ago with a Baja roof rack from BMT and so far it has done the job. https://www.blingmytruck.com/
  13. Thanks Tom, I hope your hospital stay is not serious. Would be good to get together and discuss what can be done with the lift. I was looking at these items from Oz, only Ozzie$140 for the set. http://www.greenovalexperience.com/eas_rods.html
  14. Thanks Tom, See you in the dunes soon
  15. Hi Tom, I just missed you on Sunday when you picked up your LR3 from AAA. If you are at the ME4x4 campout this weekend I would like to pick your brains about the various ways of maintaining off-road height in the LR4. Cheers Sharky
  16. Hi my name is Gordon aka Sharky, been in KSA and UAE since '86, never owned a car that was not a 4x4. Gordon from AAA told me about this site. Current off-roader is a 2001 Disco II with a few mods, other half drives a 2004 Disco II and my daily drive is an LR4 that will be modified at some point. My first Landy was a Freelander V6, and I also had a D90 V8 for a few years. Looking forward to driving with more Green Ovals
