  1. Then one option is to change the rims to stock 17 inch of Pajero.
  2. Didnt you mention that you upgraded your tyre from a 265/60/R18 to a 265/70/R18. In that case the width of the tyre would remain the same. Was the 18 inch rim offset different from the 17inch?
  3. oh no....Zeddy with the Y62.....there goes what probably little would remain of the track..... 😜
  4. @Salim Akhtar you were a true superstar on Sunday to manage your car and the drive so well. Bravo!!
  5. I second what @Frederic has said that the Prado is the more capable offroader from the options that you have provided.
  6. Alright Sweihan boys and girls, we are less than 12 hours from the start of the drive. Convoy Numbering would be announced during the briefing. See you at 5:00 AM. P.S. Those who arrive late by the usual couple of minutes, will be volunteering for all the shoveling duties for tomorrow. 😂
  7. ofcourse, but dont get too cozy on a cool desert night as you still might not wake up on time

While I am still finalizing the route, would like to mention that due to temperatures crossing 40 deg. C by 9:00 AM, the starting time of the drive has been changed to 5:00 AM. As this means that you would be getting up at an unearthly hour, I will promise to do my best to ensure that your early morning rise was well worth it... 😜

  11. General rule of thumb is that if you go 2" high you need to go 1" wide on each side.
  12. Yes, and the cameras in AD are set exact at the speed limit, so don't cross it.
  13. Thank you to all the drivers for a superb day in the desert. It was a long drive to reach the sand, but hey with no pain there is no gain. As mentioned in the briefing this was an area that I had in mind for the longest time, but perhaps it needed the kind of convoy that we had today to enjoy it to the fullest. A "warm up" at Old Lady Dune did set the tone for the drive, criss crossing on top of it was indeed special as you need a strong heart to do it, and I thank everyone for putting their trust and executing it so well. Some of those bowls and ridge were an absolute off-roaders delight and to have them so clean without bumps was like icing on a cake. @Warren Flay @Simon Dawood @ASAD. @Naveen Raj @ShereenMK @Gregory @Tom B @Mus_hus78@Karthikeyan Govindarajan once again thank you and look forward to seeing you on another episode of Sweihan Adventures. P.S. @Simon Dawood I second the suggestion of Warren 😂
  14. @Naveen Raj @Tom B @Warren Flay @Gregory @Mus_hus78 @ShereenMK @Simon Dawood @ASAD. @Karthikeyan Govindarajan WOW, that's now a strong FB+ convoy. With plenty of big dunes and bowls we are definitely going to be spoiled for choices. The scene is set for another fast paced roller coaster ride. See you boys in Sweihan !! Convoy Numbering 1. Srikumar - XJ 2. Warren Flay - Pajero SWB 3. Simon Dawood - Pajero LWB 4. Asad - Prado 5. Naveen - Pajero 6. Shereen MK - LC 7. Karthikeyan - LC 8. Gregory - Pajero 9. Tom B - LC 10. Mustafa - Pajero
  15. @ASAD. Mustafa has mentioned the nearest gas stations, but you will need to choose based on the route that you are planning to take. As regards to extra fuel, you would not need it. Just ensure that you are filled up your tank to the brim at the gas station near the meeting point.
  16. Congratulations @GauravSoni. You have worked hard to reach this level. Keep enjoying the journey.
  17. @Naveen Raj @Tom B @Joseph Raju @Warren Flay @Gregory @Mohamad Anwer @Santoso Marjuki @ShereenMK @Simon Dawood @Hisham Masaad and WL @Rob S @ASAD. @Karthikeyan Govindarajan the meeting point has been updated on the drive post as well as the calendar. @ShereenMK could you please confirm which car you would be driving?

  20. As a part of the Sweihan Adventures, this time we go down further south to the small town of Yahar that is famous for its reddish nature of sand and huge sized dunes. Plus the fact that this is area is less traversed by other offroaders makes it a perfect playground for an adrenaline pumping fast paced Fewbie+ drive. We will find bowls, we will find long sideys and sharp ridges, so be prepared for another roller coaster ride. So drivers, Start your engine!!! 21. Thank you @Mus_hus78 @ShereenMK @AlexM @KAMALIO @Prakash Anoop @Karthik Raptor @Thomas Varghese and our dear resident doctor @M.Seidamfor joining yesterday's Sweihan Night Adventures. It was an action packed drive that was perfectly executed by the entire team. It was very unfortunate that @ShereenMK had to exit out as soon as we entered with the side airbags getting deployed causing no tension on the seat belts. Look on the bright side, you don't have to worry about side airbag deployment in the future (that's is ofcourse if you don't get it replaced) 😂 With some amazing drivers in the convoy, it let me be a bit adventurous at some places, but every time I looked back the entire convoy was still following. Well done guys, you certainly are rockstars. There quarters into the drive, Thomas informed that he was not feeling well. With a doctor being in the convoy @M.Seidam took fantastic care to make Thomas feel better. However, as it was not advisable for Thomas to drive out in the dark, Seidam drive Thomas's car out. Once we reached the tarmac we bid farewell to @Mus_hus78 and Thomas who departed, while the rest of us went back in for a quick spin to get Seidam's car. @Thomas it was a wise move to take a nap and drive back home fresh. Glad that you made it home safely. @M.Seidam thank you for the fantastic support at the back end of the convoy as well as in taking excellent care of Thomas when he needed it. Always a pleasure driving with you. Thank you once again to all the drivers and I hope the Sweihan Night Adventures was worth the drive from Dubai. Till we meet again, take care.
