  1. It depends if it's just a timing belt change or there are other parts which need to be done. If you are lucky and it's just a timing belt change I think it would cost you approx 1500 to get it done in Ajman.
  2. Big SUV and fuel efficiency can't go in the same sentence. You might be better off looking at a compact SUV if you are doing 500 km a day.
  3. Congrats @G.huz. There is a fewbie drive on March 22. You can sign up for that.
  4. not sure yet, will be able to decide closer to the drive date.
  5. With the new group of Fewbie Drivers who have been with Carnity Off Road Club over the past few months, the time is right to up the challenge at Al Faqa Desert. This is the first time Carnity would be visiting this area this season. The area offers a varied terrain from short to long range dunes with plenty of opportunity for side slopping and ridge cutting. Depending on how the convoy feels the route can be altered a bit along the way. As the evening weather is still quite good, those who wish can stay back for a nice relaxing chat in the desert. Level of drive: Fewbie and above When: 22 March 2019 Meeting time: 1:00 PM, convoy will move sharp at 1:15 PM after the Friday prayers Where: EPPCO Gas Station at Lisalli https://goo.gl/maps/mrXA7BMruG42 Plan: Afternoon drive through the Al Faqa Desert What to bring along: Evening snacks - whatever you like with little extra to share, water, liquids, smiles, stories, and enthusiasm. Approximate finish time: 7 PM - 8 PM Please RSVP the below calendar event

  7. Do you plan to take it Off-road or not, that would also help in getting a better answer
  8. Hi, Has anyone had previous experience of installing frame Stiffners especially for offroading either for a Cherokee or for any other Unibody vehicle. Are they necessary? I have heard the unibody creaking at times while subjecting it to sudden angle changes.
  9. @Emmanuel in addition to the drivers our cars will also need oxygen cylinders
  10. For me it has to be my manual XJ. Be it daily driving or for desert driving. Love it and wish I had some more money to spend on it. Hopefully one day.
  11. Thank you to everyone at the Off-road Club. Much appreciated. One of the biggest satisfaction for me is seeing the next set of drivers come up the rank and I am really happy to be a part of it.
  12. @Praveenmp are you referring to the blinking orange light of the central diff lock?
  13. Like to get the following mods for my XJ: Short Term : Like to get a decent sound system, upgrade the exhaust, improve the current LED bar light mounts, better fixture for the offroad flags Long Term : Replace the entire suspension system, get a decent spare tyre carriage at the rear of of the car
  14. You are lucky if it is working fine. Else, like how Gaurav suggested it's good to get a rebuild done. The CVT is a major issue with Nissan. I own 2 Sentras which was bought brand new from the showroom. They are both driven about 200k kms and they have both failed like clock work precision.
  15. Actually that button is in the form of a sticker which says ' IF YOU CAN READ THIS, FLIP ME OVER' . Unfortunately it still is a manual operation and not an automatic one. 😂
  16. The car was not in gear (seems it was in Neutral), which should have been as the it was on a slope. Also the flipped vehicle should have been secured from the opposite side with a snatch rope which could have avoided this situation.
  17. Congrats @Javier M. You are the first from the new bunch of guys who has been promoted to Intermediate level. Well deserved.
