  1. Dear Rahimdad, please count me in along with my friends Sharon and Dennis.
  2. My wife Mitsubishi Eclipse 2009 had a bad factory paintjob. There was an international black paint issue with the eclipses and mitz was giving unofficial recalls for it.I did follow up with Habtoor but they were like they havent heard about it before. The clearcoat is gone now in the boot and the roof, and the black paint is now exposed. How can i fix it?
  3. Gaurav and Rahimdad explaining the techniques of going up and over a dune! Class on the basic gear to have The full set Deflating First view of the deep desert! So calm and surreal! From the inside of Rahimdads trusty Pathfinder
  4. @Gaurav @Rahimdad Is there a way to save the trip data on the Ardhi app. I want to try reinstalling the app but afraid that I might loose the trip data.
  5. Ah, thankfully, I had taken a screenshot halfway, when we stopped by for breakfast.
  6. The tracking app is Ardhi. I got an exact map but the app is popping an error now.

  9. Nutbolt is absolutely right! Jap is the way to go for long term reliable performance. U can still see some 1990 japs on the road. For your case, for cheaper alternatives, Robert, u can also go in for : 1. Pajero Pinin 1.8, which comes in 4 door and 2 door, 2. Suzuki Jimny or 3. Suzuki grand vitara 2.4 4-cyl or v6. Dont go by the engine size in these. These are pretty good for off-roading as they are lightweight. You can check some youtube videos where these cars take on the big behemoths.
  10. Hi, does anyone know where i can buy a AC refill kit like the one offered by Interdynamics Arctic Freeze?

Davids right. The difficulty scale is 8/10 as discussed in other forums, athought it is doable for a pro. AL FUTTAIM quoted 4000aed after discount so, I got my timing belt replaced yesterday at AL REYAMI Workshop (search for "Al Reyami Car Workshop" in google maps) in QUOZ for 600bucks and got the parts delivered from USA through the website rockauto and chose GATES TIMING BELT KIT, which is the OEM supplier. Came upto 600AED including shipping. So, the entire cost came upto 1200AED, instead of paying 4000 at the dealership. I know the tread is old but maybe its helpful to others
  12. www.rockauto.com They do international shipping. Got my stuff within 4 days. Spare parts shop quoted me close to 1400AED for timing belt, pulley, tensioner, gasket and water pump. Got it shipped for 600AED at my office. Gates is the official OEM to Mitsubishi.
