i am not too fond of Nissan Patrol even if its a good offroad car the interior luxury is not that good and nor it is fuel efficient. so i am still thinking of either of the two cars.

Hi Guys, Im planning to buy 4x4 now, need help in deciding whether Pathfinder or Xterra. Pathfinder is awesome in road and not so good in offroad VS Xterra is awesome in road and not so good in offroad. My usage will be 70% road and 30% offroad in winter.

Patrol is petrol thirsty in any year you buy. Older were more than newer one, as thanks to newer engineering making them slightly more fuel efficient.

For mount, boot are all minor tit bits thats like consumable but long life consumables that you will change in any brand of car like mazda, nissan or toyota. So its all ok dude, take it easy and enjoy your X and dont compare with other cars that much as all japanese brand have same reputation and genuine reliability compared to each other (more or less).

You more than welcome here. Your grinding noise looks like the drive shaft is rubbing something or the universal cross in drive shaft is running without a grease. Best to find out lift the car in scissor lift and ask mechanic to check the drive shaft if anything is rubbing in and around drive shaft. If not then hold the drive shaft and move with ur hand in any direction for any noticeable play in any direction. If drive shaft is tight and have no play then it could be something else, if it has play consider changing the universal joint or go with mechanic advise, better.

Select 4W drive and drive on D on usual condition. On steep incline you can switch between 1st and 2nd gear. If stuck then you should use LO gear and 2nd gear selected to crawl you out of the heavy sand.

I think stock ones are Bridgestone, so you better stick to them as they must have been properly researched and selected after lot of research. Bridgestone is good and you can get original ones from Al Serkal here in UAE, they are their main distributors in UAE.

Only luck you got is to search used one. Next time you go to search, tip 10-20 dhs at labor in those scrap yard and ask him to give you a call whenever they receive another maxima in scrapyard. 2007 means US specs right, you can also source from ebay and get it shipped to UAE by Aramex shop n ship service.

it will not be possible to do it on your own. its best you go to a car tinting shop and ask them to refix it.
