Generally one faces ignition problem in two cases: 1. No fuel: If it is because of the fuel, then the reason can be bad fuel pump. Since your car is quite old, may be the fuel pump needs to be replaced or repaired. 2. No spark: If you think that there is no spark when you are trying to start the car, then may be crankshaft position sensor(CKP) is broken or loose. You should take it to the center and get the fuel pump as well as CKP checked.
