    @Srikumar Thank You for the detailed explanation. I may not able to self buy option at the moment as my car is under warranty for 1 year and 20K kms (whichever comes first). Once it is out of warranty, i will definitely take this route of self buy. Further can you recommend me brand or let me know the oil brand you use.

    I believe Wadi Shawka & Shawka dam are different places. I had been to shawka dam in peak summer in 2016 on my fortuner. I just followed google map. When google map said "you have reached your destination". I was surprised, thought my google maps needs update or had some calibration issue. I looked around and found it was just like a deserted area nothing else. Saw one pathan gentleman and asked him bhai ye shawka dam kahan hai(Brother, where is the shawka dam). His response was. Sir aap jahan apni gaadi le ke khade ho wahi dam hai (Sir, the exact place where you are with your car is the dam only). I looked around and found some water marking in red which said danger level etc. then it was confirmed that the place where i was standing was inside the dam. @Gaurav bhai is it advisable to take 4x4 route or other sedan / suv route if im planning to visit.

    Experts, To continue with the topic of which engine oil shall i use in my prado. I have below image clicked from my user manual. Kindly guide me which of these two spec mentioned to be used in UAE weather. Clear recommendation/suggestion(if possible with brand name too) will be much appreciated as i will not be able to digest the technical part of the same. 😄

    @Glanz Lube As im not able to understand technical part of it, Could you please suggest/recommend which oil shall i use for my prado?

    More specifically it is mentioned that SAE 0W-20 is recommended for cold weather. I assume that means SAE 5W-30 shall be used for UAE cars as the weather is not favourable for SAE OW-20?

    During Manufacturing Toyota uses SAE 0W-20 it seems. They also recommend use of SAE 5W-30 engine oil if SAE 0W-20 is not available. (Source: Toyota User Manual).

    Just a quick question. Now in my case which oil shall i use during service/scheduled maintenance. I prefer 5K kms/6 months compare to 10K kms services. My yearly usage which i have noted from all my previous possession is < 12K kms per year. Also in case during service can i buy my own oil and hand over to mechanic just to ensure that they wont differ from the recommendation.

    Am I being ignorant? After going thru your post i have realized that till date i have not asked my FNG Mechanics about the oil they used for my car/s till date. Is it a blind trust or am i being careless. I have been using A class garage (As per most of the UAE motor Insurer) every time I service my car. Except for the New car which was under service contract, i have not changed it. At the beginning only twice i used local petrol bunk lube services which i was not really satisfied then i moved over to my current garage.

    Rather I would say Im much more nervous than excited. As I said earlier I have not even tried desert safari in my life. Never ever felt how a vehicle cruises on sand especially dry sand. But one thing is for sure. I'm more relaxed as I feel I will be safe hands. 😎

    Oops. Was checking here as a thread. Got it thanks. Saw couple of prado's too. White and silver one. Feeling bit relaxed. Hope my beast will not let me down (Rather i will not let my beast down with my zero driving skill 😂).

    @Gaurav bhai, my beast is wearing kumho. it is 2018 manufacturing. Can you please shed some light on them in terms of their reliability / usage on road & off road also on road noise.

    Experts. Any other place we can get the flag including pole at least. Somewhere in the forum i found that at dragon mart also it was not available. Also let me know the cost of the same. My preference will be pole with suction cup option.

    @Rahimdad Sir Im innnnnnnnn for the drive Insha Allah. Until something turns out against my way (God Forbids) As i mentioned earlier too i will come with bare stock vehicle as i have no accessories required for the drive. please accommodate and guide accordingly.

    Missed it badly. Had to travel to Abudhabi on Friday early morning(rather super early) at 12:30 AM. was waiting and following up for updates like a student waiting for their competitive exam results(not joking).     Thanks @Frederic Drive wise. Im a safe driver, maintenance, i follow schedule as recommended. Tire Pressure as my prado manual it is 29 PSI front and 32 PSI rear. But i have increased to 32 PSI on all 5 (Including spare tire). Shall i increase it to 35 PSI? will it be safe? to increase from the recommended level? Also my spare tire is the one came with new car. it is 2015 manufactured unused/not even cover was removed. Is it safe to keep it as spare tire or better to change? My driving pattern is quite safe(I may call it over relaxed 😂 ). If speed is 80 kmph my cruising speed will be around 75 kmph.
