  1. I am so grateful to CARNITY for selecting me for the upcoming brainstorming meeting and i am looking forward to attend. Carnity member's let's share our ideas and suggestions and contribute carnity, friendly car community.
  2. My newbie experience was year ago…. “Go Desert” was my dream and with carnity it was my first drive. How much did you enjoy your first drive? My first drive was from Mahafiz to Fossil Rock and it was one of my best experience and I shared every move I took with my daughter and wife again and again till I attended my second drive after two weeks. What did you enjoy about the drive? Briefing and making me comfortable before the drive. Which part of the drive you think you enjoyed the best which you would like to repeat? It was descend from fossil rock. Do you think there was a good mix of lecture and practical, was the lecture too long, and any part that can be avoided or done in a shorter or different way? Do you think anything else could be added to the lecture? For me lecture and practical was a good experience and lecture can’t be shorter because there are many points which should be explained in detail and to be focused before drive begins. Do you think prior reading material would help? YES, prior reading is very important. It will help you a lot and I have full of notes saved in my mobile and I still keep reading it again and again no matter how much off-road experience I have. Would you know where on the Carnity forum you would be able to find the information you are looking for? Yes I know and page is friendly designed. Is there anything you think could be done in a better way? Nothing in my mind now and I would definitely advice if required. How do you suggest to make things better for the new comers? Preparing your vehicle: Condition of the tyres, water level in the cooling system, engine oil and gear oil level, hydraulic clutch and brake reservoirs and spare tyres Basic Safety Equipment’s: Shovel, Flag, 2way Radio and Basic Tools (car jack, wheel spanner) How do you think you can progress within the current atmosphere and learning opportunities provided? Willingness to learn

  6. Area 53/Bidayer is my call this weekend. This area is featured with small to medium and large size dunes. This area requires precise control as one moment we climb up with full throttle and second moment we crawl at low rev before hitting the gas again for sideways climb. We will have plenty of opportunities to test our driving skills by climbing side ways, ridge riding, ridge cutting and to climb huge dunes to its peak and caputre some stunning pictures. This drive is meant for Fewbie ++ level. When: 26th January 2018, Friday Meeting time: 6.30 AM, convoy will move sharp at 6:45 AM Where: Bidayer Shops GPS Coordinate: https://goo.gl/maps/b4LPnVr5wBB2 Level of Drive: Fewbie - Intermediate - Expert - Advance Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 10 inches of ground clearance Plan: Area53/Bidayer to Iftar Bowl What to bring along: Morning snacks, whatever you like with little extra to share, water, liquids, smiles, stories, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. 9. "Al Wagan Drive" this was my best drive and the memories of every momemt will remain in my mind forever... Gaurav Bhai, hats off to you, the strech of those technical dunes and starfish shaped dunes you took us was breathtaking and your pace to reach the pyramid shaped dune is something i cant explain and me behind you was really challenging.. Time did not permit us to explore this area more and we should definitely do this area again shortly in coming weeks and plan for 2days. Thank you all @Gaurav @Rahimdad @skumar83 @shadow79 @Mujtaba

  14. Desert driving has been part of our weekend routine over the past few months and I am planning to go to Sweihan Desert this Friday (22nd December 2017). Sweihan is regarded by some as "The Little Liwa" with the type of dunes it has and this is our third drive in this year. With temperature significantly dropping this is the right time to explore our magnificent deserts around us. When: 22 December 2017, Friday Meeting time: 6.30 AM, convoy will move sharp at 6:45 AM Where: Al Rashedi Restaurant, Sweihan GPS Coordinate: https://goo.gl/maps/FmSeZzVQx2k Level of drive: Fewbies - Intermediate - (depending on convoy) Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 10 inches of ground clearance What to bring along: Snacks, whatever you like with little extra to share, water, liquids, smiles, stories, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Approximate Finish Time: 11 AM, 22 December 2017, Friday Please Note, at meeting point there is no petrol station, make sure you fill your tanks on your way at nearest petrol station.
