  2. Here i go with quick trip report. This was 2nd drive i lead and i thank all of you for joining my drive and trusting my move. We all met at meeting point on time and left to deflating point which was around 35kms from there out which 15kms was mud road and we splashed mud all around our chassis for which we have to give our 4x4 steam wash now. After deflating and quick breafing and convoy numbering we started exploring BU TAIS dunes for first time. This place had mix of technical, soft sand and huge rolling dunes with massive bowls. As marked in my GPS we finally reached to spot of 8 palm trees which is grown deep in one of the bowl. I saw everyone smiling including me to see such a lovely place with huge rolling dunes... we had enough time to play around and we all settled down at the top of one huge dune and waited to sun go down. Then there was small twist which was the most beautiful part of the drive... gaurav bhai reminded about meteor shower which is expected to shower after 9pm... So we all decided to stay and capture some glimpse. @Mujtaba and his friends decided to exit early and we continued counting meteors. Gaurav bhai has seen around 14 meteors and myself with second highest 11. Finally exited late night and all reached home safely.. Thank you all once again for making this trip wonderful @Rahimdad @Gaurav @shadow79 @skumar83 @Mujtaba @sertac see you all soon.....
  3. @sertac and @Mujtaba please mention your mobile number and thanks for joining..
  4. thanks for joining @Gaurav @skumar83 @Rahimdad.....
  5. good initiative @Rahimdad...... @sertac you are most welcome to join us. please RSVP the above calender.
  6. Lets head down south for a drive among the BU TAIS dunes. This will be a long drive about 2:00 +Hrs from Dubai via E311 before we reach there, followed by another 40 to 50kms (or more) of dunes.. so please be prepared. This area has soft sand, huge dunes and massive bowls. They are difficult to enter due to their height, and one can only access them through "steps" strategy. Once on top they are fun to drive as all big dunes are inter-connected and offer broad ridge to ride.. When: 17th November, Friday 2017 Meeting time: 12:15PM, convoy will move sharp at 12:45 PM Meeting Point: https://goo.gl/maps/qQZTTmnD7fD2 (Meeting point is near mosque, we will finish friday prayer and leave immediately) Please Note, at meeting point there is no petrol station. The last refueling station is ADNOC AL Khatim (Abu Dhabi to Al Ain Highway) at this GPS coordinate: https://goo.gl/maps/geGpKfBveSQ2 From this point we have to drive around 50kms to deflating point. It is recommended to carry extra fuel (10L of jerry can) Level of drive: Fewbie - Intermediate - Expert - Advance Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 10 inches of ground clearance. Ensure your 4x4 is is in perfect condition and spare tyre in good condition. Carry all off road gears, recovery equipment, radio and flag is must. What to bring along: Snacks, quick meal, whatever you like with little extra to share, water, liquids, smiles, stories, enthusiasm and willingness to learn Approximate finish time: 6:00 PM, 17th November, Friday 2017 RSVP the below calendar:

  13. Naqhra "The Little Liwa" this was my first drive post and big thanks to @Gaurav who encouraged me to step forward and post this drive and to lead the convoy. Friday "6th" morning I was the first one to reach at meeting point and after sometime everyone started turning @gaurav @saleem @srikumar and @rahimdad finally arrived. After having a cup of tea and sandwich we all left to our deflating point. After deflating as usual practice breafing began and it was my job. Gaurav Bhai & Rahim Bhai made me so comfortable that my fear to lead disappeared, after numbering the convey gaurav bhai was in second lead to correct me if i move wrong. We started our drive around 7.30 AM and we all enjoyed a lot and after playing around at Naqhra's tallest Dune by 10AM we were on the top of the dune which is around 250mtrs above sea level. After a short break and picture taking we continued our drive, and here is the real story began, one of our vehicle got stuck while slide slopeing and we tried recovering which was not moving even an inch. After a moment we noticed one of the wheel was not turning and we found that right side tie rod was bend. Somehow we recovered the vehicle to flat surface and tried temporary solution to fix it which did not work. And finally we decided to leave the vehicle in the middle of the desert and come back next day with proper tools and parts. Our drive continued next day it was Naqhra "Recovery Drive" all of us met at a decided point at late afternoon and reached to the spot on time and replaced the parts with the help of saleem's mechanical skills and we safely exited. This whole drive was our longest drive which is calculated roughly around 24hrs... Thanks to all for joining the drive and stayed till the end and special thanks to saleem.
