  1. Actually in Tukey also Volvo is not very popular. What i am saying is once you own one you cant forget it. This is not related to country. If he ever driven one it is totally normal that he want to buy one, i can clearly understand why he is choosing a Volvo over a Lexus or Infinity.
  2. Maybe for this country it is not the best choice but you need to own one to understand. Back in Turkey my grand father had S60 2.0T it is still one of the best driver car i have ever driven. It is luxury enough, it is comfortable yet sporty. It has plenty of power, it is the brand everyone knows when you talk about safety(you should see those A pillars it is bulky). If you ask the people drive Volvo here you will hear they bought it because they had it before. Pictures from 2009
  3. If I was you I would get xc90 + 2012 wrangler for off roading. Neither xc90 or discovery are usable for off roading. Maybe discovery can be used in newbie drives with too much care. I don't know how much you will enjoy while thinking about not to break your bumpers.
  4. I will also put a report from me. That was a crazy morning for me i woke up at 6.41 am. My alarm didint ring or i didint hear i dont know. I was outside my door 3 min after i woke up. Luckily my home is not far from the area. I reached with minimal delay. Again i am sorry from everyone i was the latest comer of the day. I guess for the first time i had guests with me in the car. It is a different feeling you are having another responsibility. As being sweep of the team i try to kept my eye on everyone on the convoy i can proudly say everyone did great job, this club getting expended with great talents day by day. We had only 1 stuck and few refusals thats part of the game and part of the fun. Special thanks for @Srikumar and @Ale Vallecchi amazing drivers and amazing leaders. Even my guests said these 2 guys are dedicated people they are there for everyone who need even small help. At the end of the day tempature reached around 42C and i saw my heat gauge getting slowly slowly up. When i got chance i throw some water on my radiator and it became to normal level. Than 5 min later while we were not moving gauge start going up again and O/D off light came on. I knew the next step going to be transmission over heat so i stopped and asked help. Sri and @Jun Zamora came with their water sprays and we spray as much as water we can to the radiator. After that heat came down again and once we start moving faster everything became alright and all of us exited safely.

    ATV Rental

I am not planning to spend a lot for a one hour weekend fun. I am not even sure if my wife can manage an ATV
  6. I read backwards again and i noticed Fred mentioned bad radiator cap. It is small and cheap to change and something can really effect. In my old Cherokee once i was driving on highway all great steady speed and in a second temp reach to red and come back. Than i pulled over and saw my radiator cap was got out. Than when we inspect we saw the rubber was in horrible condition and we changed it. After that i never faced that issue again. It might be worth to change. It was 55aed or something like that for Jeep.

    ATV Rental

Is any of you guys know where is the best place to rent ATV bikes. My wife wants to try this. I know a place near to Al Faya and others near to Badayer but specially the ones at Badayer are crowded and fenced in small area. If any one have good experience any of these places please share with me.
  8. Those folding shovels are generally very small we are naming them spoon. You actually need to get a big shovel like the ones using at constructions. I bought mine from DIP for 15aed you can check below location. Rest of the equipment you got will be very helpful. https://goo.gl/maps/hYhN9Q3GB7evhQWs8
  9. I just saw this Cherokee. Surely it will need some investment, looks already beaten up. Bur price is crazy cheap. If anyone looking for a cheap beater Jeep can take a look.
  10. Do you think it wont go up enough to lift a Jeep or just messing with me I saw your post also about your jack but i dont want to go to DM in this virus times. I want to order online.
  11. @Wrangeld is below same jack as what you have? https://www.noon.com/uae-en/2-ton-hydraulic-trolley-jack-blue-black/N22239108A/p Also is anyone knows about below jacks this one seems very cheap and it made me think about its quality. https://www.noon.com/uae-en/2-ton-hydraulic-floor-jack/N22946514A/p?o=eae90beb9af6b42e
  12. Same thing was happening on my XJ weirdly it was coil packs. Whenever i was shaking the coil packs car was starting.
  13. Looks like someone remove the video i added from my original post. Ishared the video of it.
  14. You will be spending money for maintenance to keep your 10-12.000AED car usable for off road. So in this case registration, insurance money is not the cost you should be worry about.
  15. Fred have you tried it while car is in low gear? That was the solution for my auto XJ. When I put it on low it was holding the gear, anyway you not going to drive long way with low gear.
  16. I start seein the TJs as a business opportunity. There are people out there really willing to pay money for these cars. We can get together few interested people, will buy all the TJs available at market and will put them for sale when the new season starts for 30-35.000AED. In Turkey there are people really doing this. They are coming together buying the majority of the some special cars outhere(like S2000, 350Z etc.) and setting the price.
