  1. Wow congrats @Sreenath G ! That will be a beast in the sand !
  2. I don't know about you @Felix Obstbut i'd be having a great morning out with these guys in my Patrol: @Abhilash Kottakkalas the BF Goodrich tyres have a much sturdier sidewall, you will find they don't even look deflated at 12psi. You will need to probably go to 10psi and do some trials to see if you find improvement. The KO2 from BF Goodrich is a fantastic tyre, but for sand and especially if you are driving a car that's already a bit underpowered, it will not work in your favor.
  3. That discolouration is indeed the plastic that's giving in i think....
  4. Perhaps a temporary hack, but would some JB-Weld do the trick to fix that little overflow spout ? some other solutions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=61ew4dxvLjA
  5. Once completed it will be in the top 3 of biggest solar plants in the world, amongst Golmud Desert Solar Park in China, and Bhadla Solar Park in India.
  6. if he deflates there is no issue, but the last time i was there we had 3-4 cars trying to push through the soft sand while still inflated and they all got stuck.

Beyond the red pin is also possible but the sand is a bit soft there, so be careful. Please make sure to bring your off-road gears, plenty of water, and protection from the sun. Ensure the car is fully topped up with gas (gas stations were mentioned in the post yesterday). We aim to be READY-TO-GO by 06AM, so please arrive no later than 05.50AM so you have time to deflate and put the flags. See you all bright and early tomorrow !
  8. Hi @Dare_to_Dream we do not promote nor mention workshops here on the forum as we want to make sure the content remains unbiased for our members. You are of course free to come up with technical questions as we have a large user base here. Having said that, there are plenty of car workshops in Abu Dhabi to tailor to modifying your vehicle, but be ready for lots of issues to get your car through the RTA inspection if you are planning heavy modifications (unless you will drive it around on a trailer ) I recommend Google search "4x4 modification" or "4x4 tuning" and go through the list of potential shops. Visit them one by one and look at the projects they've done and try to align with them on budget, plans, execution, designs, etc... You will probably see that after visiting 10-15 shops that only 1-2 will be shortlisted. Be very detailed about your expectations and budget. Because the majority of these shops will make you drain your wallet faster than anything ! Good luck !
