Hi @Mike Merdinian The front bumper of the Pajeros has undergone some facelifts over the years, from what i can see your model is the 2020 version which would look like this: Most Pajero owners would usually trim everything below the red line to create a bit more clearance, but as a result the bumper becomes a bit more flimsy and will crack more easily. Adding a front bash plate will give a bit extra protection against that. If you would eventually decide to lift the vehicle, that perhaps you could keep the bumper as it is. The typical straight line cut is indeed what most owners would do i am afraid. Its easy and if the guy who trims it can just stay along the existing line without messing it up

Well, we didn’t find any bunnies this morning. What we did found was a group of enthusiasts that were eager to explore some nice virgin areas of Qudra and beyond. Throughout the drive we were able to keep a good pace and only had a handful of refusals, and some excellent self recovery skills by @Yaseen87 and wonderful support from @Anoop Nair. All of you drove very well today ! After having enjoyed the Qudra area, we crossed the road into Al Hathmah and the plan was to make this drive into a nice loop where we would exit at the Love Lakes. Unfortunately @Thian his Jeep hit a bump somewhere after coming off a dune which resulted in an overheating issue shortly after and upon opening the bonnet we noticed the cooling fluid was almost entirely gone and the engine bay was covered in pink coolant. The only option was to disengage the electronic parking brake with the engine off (we had to check in the operator manual), and tow the car out back to the road. As we were on the last part of the drive, we all exited together. I wanted to thank you all for the great drive this morning and the support from all of you ! @Thian i hope the damage is not to severe and you can join us soon again. For the regular body wash we go to the ADNOC station nearby Remraam. Its a new station so not too very busy. 45Dhs and the guys do a good job. For the underbody stuff i head to Umm Suquim Grand Service Center, which is more expensive, but these guys do an immaculate job. I usually slip them a tip if they did a good job (which is usually the case). And quite often i wash my cars in my own drive-way with the hose. I find it relaxing and i do my fluid checkups at the same time.

We all headed out into the sands eager to see what the desert has in store for us. The dunes behind the Remah camel race track are a gem and we had our fill in that area. Everyone drove very well and with a super capable second lead in @Jorge Stepniak Felippe I was free of worries and could keep the pace going. A pop-out took a bit longer as the tyre sustained some damage and we had to install the spare tyre. Later on in the drive @Arda Yagcioglu his Xterra started to have some issues, starting with a Check Engine light, and later on a Valve lifter noise. We decided to take no risks and instead of going up north towards Fayah, we took the exit track down south towards Al Khaznah town. The car sounded fine at the exit but it will need a checkup I’m afraid. I hope you enjoyed a good morning out and hope we can do this again soon !

Be careful with the speed limit guys, during foggy mornings the speed limit is reduced on AD roads. The AD police app will show a notification.
