We hope the dunes will be free of bulldozer tracks, and we can ramp up this drive a bit. We will be using Channel 1: 446.006 Mhz. Please be on time so we can hit the dunes early enough. No pressure here. With temperatures hitting 40 Degrees Celsius during daytime, these kinds of full day drives are not possible to do anymore until the weather cools down again.

Hi @Haitham Khattabyes, the RSVP went extremely fast and it does seem the internal servers had some issues to digest the massive amount of people logging into the site at the same time. To be able to split into two convoys, we would need another trip lead. Unfortunately many are out this weekend due to travels or other commitments.

Thanks @Emanuel. That is mainly due to the very strong convoy that morning that i was able to keep the smooth pace. We ended up doing almost 60kms in about 3:30hrs driving time, which is around 17kms/h average in a mixed terrain of long range dunes and technical dunes.

After being battered and bruised over the past 6 months by bulldozers, Sweihan is healing up and calling us back for a visit. The plan is to cover some good ground and verify which areas are fine for exploring again. Let's keep fingers crossed and hope we can encounter the majestic and smooth dunes before Ramadan !
