  1. Dear Newbies and Absolute Newbies: To speed up our morning briefings, we have drafted an Absolute Newbie Essentials Briefing here online, which does not take more than 10 minutes to read, and is consisting of our main safety advices. We kindly ask you to go through this briefing, so we have more "action" time instead of "talking" time coming Friday. @Nayan Shenai @Magellan @Nizam Mohammed @Nizam Deen @sheri @MUHAMMAD Kashif RAZZAQ @Chaitanya D @Nitin Mohan @J J @Muffy Acidwala @Jamy B. @siddharth maheshwari @Shiju Manuel @Anvar Sadath Bekal @Najeeb Mohammed @Mathavan Muthukrishnan @RohanH @sebin @Franciscus buitenhuis @paolo dassi @Jose Martin @Anouar Anouar @Shahid Mehmood @Grenville Mark Stuart Wright @Shailja Kalia @Pickey Singh @Amoru https://carnity.com/brief Please take your time to read these advices to arrive prepared and good to go
  2. Hi Shahid, no worries as Absolute Newbie we can help you out with a spare radio.
  3. Welcome to Carnity Offroad Club @Amoru Kindly provide us the following information: - Type of vehicle - Any prior offroad experience ? - Are the vehicle's towpoint front and back in good condition ?
  4. Thanks, you will find the programming instructions in the ADVICE section of our website.
  5. FIRST IRISH ☘️ MADE VEHICLE APPROVED BY 97% OF IRISH POPULATION
  6. Bought a brand new car long time ago, and as full comprehensive insurance was mighty expensive and my father kept telling me not to take one, i went for a third party insurance only to have another car flying into the side of the car 6 months later, rendering it as good as total loss. As per the rules the vehicle that hit me was driving on a road where it had right of way, but drove 92km/h instead of the allowed 50km/h, so when i crossed the road it came flying out of the nearby corner, leaving me no time to react. Because it had the right of way, the car could never be held liable, so after 2 years in court i ended coughing up a lot of money and that driver only had to pay a fine for overspeeding. 2 lessons learned: - Do not buy a brand new vehicle - If you do buy a recent vehicle, get FULL comprehensive. - Only the lawyers really win if you go to court....
  7. Hi @Grenville Mark Stuart Wright please take note of the following circular that was posted yesterday:
  8. My father in law drove a 1.6 Sierra and literally did zero maintenance, except topping up the oil level when the light came up. Managed to drive 65,000km in 20 years and didn’t wash it once.
  9. No worries @Anouar Anouar, absolute newbies are being given a spare radio. Only from second drive onwards the offroader should obtain his own radio. See you on Friday !
  10. Hi @Nitin Mohan Please have a look at below advice that shows our Carnity frequencies and how to program them into your MT777: https://carnity.com/advice/offroad/carnity-two-way-radio-frequencies-r119
  11. Oh yes the Rothman 911... Childhood memories !!!
  12. I added the programming instructions for the Prolab in above advice topic. Hi @Chaitanya D Thanks for your message. I will consult with our seniors to see if we can make a general topic announcement on this to highlight this better.
  13. Hi @siddharth maheshwari, no worries if you already ordered one, we will provide you with a spare. I have same Prolab model, if you have questions for programming, let me know.
  14. To all Newbies, please make sure you have obtained you own radio, as we will most-probably not have enough spare radios available for this drive. @siddharth maheshwari@Najeeb Mohammed@Jamy B. @Nitin Mohan @MUHAMMAD Kashif RAZZAQ @Nayan Shenai @Alexander Sarte @Chaitanya D @Muffy Acidwala @Salarios @Shiju Manuel @Nitin Mohan @Jihad Hachem @Anvar Sadath Bekal @J J @Cara Jordan @Nizam Mohammed @Nizam Deen @Mathavan Muthukrishnan @Pickey Singh @RohanH @Magellan @Nacho If you do have one but need assistance for programming it, please arrive at least 15mins before the meeting time, as we do not want to delay the whole convoy while programming radios. More information on this topic can be found here:

  17. Congrats Shamil ! Well deserved. I see you growing week after week, and your patience and calm approach is a blessing for our newcomers !
  18. Totally agree. People tend to forget that due to the low voltage (12V) you are pushing a lot of amps through the wiring. To properly wire a double cylinder compressor i would advise 16mm2 as absolute minimum. Lesser than that your wire will heat up which results in less conductivity which then again results in a voltage drop, which then results in even more amps.
  19. These househould 220V/ 2HP air compressors are around 170l/min which is the same flow rate as the Dragon Mart double cylinder model. The 220V compressor would probably cost around 350 AED and then another 150AED for a 1500Watts inverter. On top of that some cabling work to do, so you'll be near 600AED. For that money i can buy 3 of those Dragon Mart compressors. If you have a big car then it's not a bad option, but for smaller 4x4's this is definitely not possible.
  20. @Javier M @Xaf @Shamil you guys all have the compressors built in or am I wrong ?
  21. Congrats Vanessa !! PS please be gentle with my little blue 🤣
