Hi @Christopher Royare you sure the shop used the right type of break pads for the car ? I suspect there is a little bit of play and they are slightly loose, making them slide forward when braking. You posted this in the RS4 section. Perhaps the workshop installed the regular A4 brake pads ? (I would assume the RS4 has provision for bigger type of brake pads).

I don't think they are per se illegal, but all depends to which station you go for the car passing. On my last car inspection they mentioned on the passing paper my roof rack should be removed, but they did not fail me for it. When i asked the inspector why it was mentioned he bluntly said: you were not failed for inspection so no problem....🤔

A bit more real-life practical video: Single Pull Line without use of a snatch-block. This is the most common used technique for winch recovery: Double Line Pull by using a single snatch block: The Single Pull Line will work for 90% of winch recoveries we do in the sand. Make sure to unreel your winch rope as far as you can, as this provides more winching power (less rope on the reel means a smaller diameter means better power ratio) but keep at least 5-6 reels on the winch, otherwise the rope can get loose from the reel. The Double Pull Line with a snatch block will basically reduce the load for the winch with 50%, so it is recommended for those rare extreme recoveries. Of course in real life scenarios there are many possible ways to recover a vehicle, including the use of other vehicles to redirect forces, or use them as an anchor. There is no perfect handbook and it will be trial and error to see what works best.

As daily driver and music lover this is indeed a bliss to enjoy music in the best possible way and i totally agree with the direction you went. This used to be one of my hobbies back in Belgium and i met wonderful people in this world. We did both IASCA competitions based on audio quality, as well as DB-Drag races (louder is better). This scene has slowly faded out due to the fact that new cars came with much better stock soundsystems and the police and car inspection started to crack down on tuners and people with 9 subwoofers in the trunk In UAE the number of high quality shops is extremely limited. You will indeed need to do extensive research to find the unicorns and be completely transparant with your wishes and how to execute it. Reading your post catapulted me back to these good old days of looking for the newest Focal or MBQuart speakers, Rockford or Audison amplifiers, and JL audio subwoofers..

Hi @Krishna R do not focus too much on the wattage as most brands advertise 500 or 1000 Watts while in reality this is called PMPO (Peak Music Power Output) and not representative for the actual output. The actual wattage will be expressed in RMS. In an offroad vehicle i have seen multiple issues occuring with external amplifiers, this is mostly because quite often we will have sand getting in the vehicle, and the wires and cabling in general are having a hard time from all that shaking and rattling. For that main reason i would advise you to get a decent head-unit installed (Pioneer, Sony, or equivalent) and just connect the 4 new speakers without an external amplifier. It will sound pretty decent for an offroad vehicle. You can always add an external amplifier later. A subwoofer is also something i would avoid in an offroad car. It takes up a lot of space and gets damaged easily. Make sure to double check the correct dimensions of the speakers you want to buy (yours seem correct). A good alternative for the Pioneer speakers is Infinity, or JBL GTO Series. Upgrading the Stereo System in Your 2005-2012 Nissan Xterra (crutchfield.com)
