  1. I haven't tried in the desert but I used to engage diff lock going uphill it made a huge difference
  2. Lol yes I remember the I hate you look from the tire guy when they were cleaning the tire, some shops charge extra because of the mess
  3. Yeah it's not very good but is better than having nothing, it will work as long as your wheel keeps turning. It's good for road emergencies specially for some ladies that don't know much about cars. I have tried many but always go with slime. But for off-road I would just use a tire repair kit and a compressor. It is more reliable on big tires.
  4. Seems that the guy never used fix a flat before it took him 3 attempts to understand how to use it 😂. They all do the job, which is to repair your tire temporarily so you can go and have it repaired. I would not use preventive products like tire sealant specially on modern cars, they could mess up with your TPMS. They also make Slime in a spray similar to fix a flat. All my cars back home have two Slime cans in case of an emergency. I haven't seen it here though.
  5. They even sell them with the bridle for the path finders. https://www.the4wdshed.com/recovery-tow-points-shackles-equaliser-strap-kit-nissan-navara-d40-roadsafe4wd?preview=y I am sure there are shops that can fabricate something like that
  6. On another off-road club I remember seeing a video where they were recovering a car, they guy was clearly going too fast when pulling and one of the recovery points broke, sending it directly through the other car's window. And they were blaming the recovery points as faulty. The stucked car had the axles covered in sand and this guy was pulling too fast. 🤨 Needless to say I did not join them, they obviously did not know what they were doing.
  7. If somebody has a unibody they MUST install more recovery points, these need to be installed on the frame rails. During recovery we would need to be careful to recover from at least two points.
  8. For shackles I use bubba rope 52k pounds, buy them directly from amazon it's waaaayyy cheaper than the rip off from TORC https://www.amazon.com/Bubba-Rope-Gator-Jaw-176745PRO-Synthetic/dp/B07F489PP7/ref=sr_1_5?crid=15AIC431V0O0P&keywords=bubba+shackle&qid=1564979525&s=gateway&sprefix=bubba+shac%2Caps%2C373&sr=8-5

  10. 🤔 I would do this in this order.. Change the oil pressure sensor. Change the oil and change the oil filter (oil filter might be clogged) Im sure any shop can do an oil pressure test, I would do this before considering the changing the oil pump.
  11. I already adopted 3 cats. I really wish I could adopt this one 😭. Take some pictures of it I might convince the wife to get another.
  12. Since you've been using the same oil I am more inclined for the oil pump.
  13. If it is potable why did they install filters? that defeats the definition of potable. Potable water would be to be able to open the faucet and drink directly from them but we cant, therefore, is not potable. What people don't realize is that all bottled water is actually tap water filtered and the glaciers and nature BS we see on their labels are just marketing. There are a lot of documentaries about it.
  14. It really depends on how you look at things. It may seem pricey but how long are you going to be stuck in traffic (time) + fuel + car maintenance.
  15. That sounds like the compressor might need to be checked/replaced. Or maybe that's just the maximum cool you can get on those things.
