  1. I have had a few to many close calls with crazy drivers so im looking into getting a permanent, auto recording dash cam installed in the car, permanent and auto recording to reduce the risk of "im just going to get milk" and don't bring or turn on the camera. Do any of you guys tried or using this and what are your thoughts? Any one had any shop installed one? /Per
  2. Have had ceramic coating on a black car before, not here but in sweden. Not sure how much difference the countries make but i added it when the car was new from factory and it didn't do much. Cleanend it day 1 and dusty day 2 the only thing i noticed it that it seemed easier to clean, dirt didn't stick, so it just basically needed a hose and a dry and it was good.
  3. Have a similar issue, i have a vibration sometimes its strange. Sometimes its fine and sometimes i can feel it but barley in the steering wheel. Have had this issue in the vintner in a bunch of different cars snow melts and leave water on the rim that becomes ice and vibrates, but what is it here?? Sand wouldn't stay?
  4. Is someone is interested in i have a set of 5 18" rims in flawless condition with older tires (3 years 6mm tread left) and Im looking for a set of 17" rims is someone is interested in trading. If someone have a spare set i might be interested in buying too if price is right. Or maybe can point me to a scrapyard or something that might have? Regards Per
  5. that seems very true....
  6. According to the specs they are the same, the diesel have more HP and a lot more torque so its probably gearbox setup and thats what make the diesel to consume less fuel. a fun site if you want to compare https://www.ultimatespecs.com/
  7. Did not say it was faster, i said it was fast compared to any standard 2L Petrol, you can't really compare it like that its all due to setup. Apples vs Pears..... But today most manufacturers that have both diesel and petrol option for a specific model set the cars up to be the same(top-speed, acceleration and handling), but the diesel will consume less fuel.
  8. Well Range rovers are all tractors so it doesn't matter if its diesel or petrol and yes fast compared to a 2L petrol
  9. Also for onroad use where the 0-100 is more important than top-speed torque is a big winner!
  10. Maybe not direct car related but where can i find a dog like this when i get stuck
  11. aaah ok this make sense if its 2 times more expensive no one is buying it... but slow and noisy? My bmw was anything but slow for a 2l engine and yes they were noisy in 1985.....
  12. I have for a while wondered why there are no diesel cars here?? As in sweden there are alot of diesels as they use less fuel and as the modern ones are as good/bad polluters as gasoline? I was driving a BMW320D with almost 190hp and a lot of torque but could still have a consumption of 5L/100km that is not possible with gasoline, and as for off road the torque is good as far as i have read.
  13. Just to clarify too in the manual they are not mentioned as "tie downs" but as towing hooks so they are made for recovery but are not rated.
  14. Thanks! found the post about the manual thats why i found the part in the manual
  15. An old trick i learned from a mechanic friend of mine. If you have had errors that have gone away and the garage wont find anything. just ask them to clear all errors anyway, it is known the ecu will store errors but not always show them. Thanks for the post, its some great knowledge to share that many new mechanics don't know about.
  16. So very true, it is not only safety for the child but every one in the car. I have more than one denied rides to colleagues with kids cause i don't have a proper seat for the kids. Most of the time you hear the explanation its just a short ride or its just so close. In sweden today its not even legal to have pets unbelted or in cage.
  17. And i just found this in the manual?? they are tow hooks both front and rear?, not recovery points or tie downs.
  18. I just read something interesting about the recovery points on my pajero. The 2 front looks are recovery points but the one in the back are just tie downs and you should have a tow hitch to be able to do a rear recovery? how do carnity groups look at this? do i need a tow hitch to qualify for front and rear recovery points?
  19. Shure Just message me as soon as you get it and ill remove it again so its not posted for every one. "removed"
  20. I want the filter do be able to clean the a it a bit (will be using carbon filter) as filter is user both when recirculating and when taking outside air. The dirt and debris that get stuck in the filter should be stuck in the filter as it other will go in to the cabin. As for the construction of the pajero water should not get there as the filter is located over the fan and fan motor and if water gets in there it will get in to the fan and ruin that. So the basics is to reduce fumes and dust when in queues
  21. Can't PM as im not cool enough user... Can you post a pic?
  22. Perfect!!!! Thank you now I know what to get. Have seen the tutorials, just needs to cut out the cover and insert filter. Simple 3 minute jobb! /Per
  23. According to the door sticker I can use 17 or 18. And if someone want to trade I'm good with that. 😊 Just message me if you want to trade, mine is in new condition
  24. As standard no but you can cut out the hole as the blower is made for one. I'm just trying to find what size it should be.
