  1. Congrats @Russ....hope you will continue driving with us at the lower barracks!!! 😄
  2. Thank you @Ale Vallecchi for the really looooooooooooo...ng drive, covering 80+ km in 4 hours or so. Having a drive in the morning same day, i should say it was a bit of an exertion for me, and a test of my concentration skills, given the abundance of technical areas we did. I was a bit delayed to reach the meeting point as i was planning on reaching just in time, and not earlier, to catch maximum rest after the morning drive. I knew it was pushing myself, but with the family away in hometown , and nothing else to do, i decided to give it a shot - back to back drives on same day, and needless to say, i did not drop dead and lived to tell the story!! 🙂 Some tricky crossings, soft sand bowls, lot of ridge rides , all blended into the "long trek" kilometre crunch!! I am not sure if the convoy of @Lakshmi Narasimhan , @Alain Canivet-Abikhalil, myself, @Chinthaka Ruwan, @Ashok chaturvedi, @Humayun Ghias, @Russ, @Darren Brooke with the support of @MUHAMMAD Kashif RAZZAQ and @Christian Andras finally enabled @Ale Vallecchi to do justice to the "Dubai-Sharjah" trek. Did we reach Faqa/sharjah border ? and speaking of stats, with this drive i have crossed 1500 Km in the desert - a personal milestone albeit a small one!!! See you all (or at least some of you 😉) next week!!
  3. Great drive @Islam Soliman, with a short and sweet convoy @Zixuan Huang - Charlie at SL and joined by @Adhir Saxena at his debut FB+, @JeromeFJ, @Looper and our [email protected] The drive was more of a medium pace with occassional efforts from Islam to bump up , to see what the convoy could take!! The pace was fine for me, like i said during the feedback on radio, although faster pace gives more thrill, it comes with increased risk of damaging our cars, as we might dive into bumps at high speeds. The cherry on the cake was the "2-in-1" recovery, a word coined by @Islam Soliman which i dont think i will forget anytime soon !!! - Looper a.k.a Gautam pulling islam, and Islam pulling Doc Seidam!!! That would be a rarity 😀 See you all next week!!
  4. Thanks @Kailas for the excellent drive today…it was a crisis crossing feast!!! lost control on couple of crossings with some refusals too. Had my share of learning experiences. there was some confusion regarding the radio frequencies as many of us were on the old channel 5 - 462.887 while some were on the new one 446.106. https://carnity.com/forums/topic/16442-updated-carnity-radio-frequencies?tab=comments#comment-89131 better we all tune into these new ones excellent support from @Nivin and @Russ, helping out with recoveries.
  5. Hi @Islam Soliman I will attend this one as well as the afternoon one ...lets see how it goes
  6. A nice and engaging mid week drive, and perfect for my debut FB+ !!! Thanks to @Ale Vallecchi, mid week drives are back at @Carnity. I was missing these drives for the past couple of weeks!! and here comes a fully signed up drive, with no drop outs!! We rode lot of low ridges which gave lot of opportunities to practice and correct my approach and exit lines and angles, boosting my confidence in ridge riding. Thanks to all the IM drivers who joined us @Lakshmi Narasimhan as SL, @Ashok chaturvedi for the recoveries and radio guidances, @Craig Finlayson for the anchoring position, @Ranjan Das who was driving in front of me making life easy- to follow his lines as a fellow wranglerino, and @GauravSoni for the words of encouragement. Kudos to fellow FB+ debutante - @Zixuan Huang - Charlie and other fellow FB+ drivers @Chinthaka Ruwan, @Alain Canivet-Abikhalil - who loves being tugged , and @Russ for the prefect sweep and recovery.
