Ale Vallecchi has been promoted to Advance level
Denizzalbayrak replied to Gaurav's topic in Off-Road Club's Announcements
Congratulations @Ale Vallecchi. In the last few drives I saw plenty of recovery tug from you as it feels like you are a superhero with a rope in the trunk of FJ. Whenever someone stucks his/her car, instantly you are there and doing the tug with necessary gentleness. -
First of all, apologise to everyone for causing drive to end earlier. Secondly, special thanks to @Gaurav and @Xaf for helping me and the Chevy with it's high fever. I've managed to drive the car to the tarmac next day and took it to the workshop. Hopefully it will be diagnosed and repaired after Eid Holiday. Speaking of Eid, Eid Mubarak! Hopefully, I will join you soon.

Maintenance Workshop in Al Quoz
Denizzalbayrak replied to Denizzalbayrak's topic in General Discussions
@Frederic @Wrangeld and @Xaf Thanks a lot for valuable suggestions. I will look into them. -
Hi Everybody, Can anybody suggest a reliable workshop in Al Quoz area for my 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer? I'm looking for a place to do regular maintenance works, some small enhancements & upgrades etc... After almost 10 drives in the desert, I am happy with the performance of the car. But since it's an old car, some features are not working such as powered window, side mirror adjustments, water pump of wipers etc... I'm thinking to do these ehancements gradually along with the regular maintenance works. Last but not the least, I don't want to spend a fortune on these works like every human being

Hi @Frederic, I am gonna have to leave from this week’s ride. I will gather everything in meanwhile. I hope I am not too late and some one else can join instead of me.
-
Hi @Frederic, I yet couldn’t get fire extinguisher and medical kit. I don’t know if I can make it today too. Would it be ok to join tomorrow or should I leave?

Ace has these options. I wasn’t so sure about the multi size option so I thought I can try Ramy and went there.. Is Reese Ok to use?
-
I bought the receiver from Ace and the pin from Ramy. Are these companies questionable? If so is there any way to test it before using it?

It's the end of the world as we know it ...

My wife found a website while searching some information about Corona virus and how it was in Dubai at that time. To do that she typed "Corona" and "Dubai" to Google. Eureka! It was in the early days of Corona. Now you need to add one more filter word -beer- to Google as virus Corona gets more click than this website... No need to go MMI or Eurostar Cellar 😀 -

That’s very interesting. Im curious about how will it handle desert as Subaru is confident with it’s symmetrical AWB. Wish I could be there in the morning drive to see it. I don’t know if XV has it but X-mode could be a B plan as well.

When driving with Koleos, one of the concern was to get maximum power that small engine will provide before approaching a hill and the other one was not get stopped buy electronics. Because they kick back in over 55km/h speed. The role of electronics can be summarized with a quote from Gandalf, “You shall not pass” Trailblazer undoubtedly is a powerfull car. But dealing with weight needs completely a different study.
