You can double check the part numbers above on the radiator if it is associated with SMOD ( highly unlikely in GCC GCC xterras). Info courtesy www.thenewx.org , loads of information on this website. Other way to be very sure and have trouble free cooling if more than 150k on the Odo will be to replace radiator as @Barry suggested.

SMOD was an issue with US Xterras , not seen with GCC xterras if I am not wrong. Once u change or replace the old radiator basically that issue is sorted. Whatever the case be prepared you will have to do some maintenance ( Oil changes, radiator flush, mounts etc) to make it desert ready... and once ready it's really carefree to drive in desert. That's one of the reasons it is highly recommended as an offroad car in this group. After owning one, I cannot agree more. It's been a really nice one to drive in the sands.

Recovery from a crest without tug Car is crested like below Recovery with a shovel only ? One has to start shoveling in the front of the car at the center between two tyres ( as in videos below) . The V channel will displace the sand from the crest hitting the belly . Once u see clearly all sand has come off the belly all the way to back of the car and infact see the horizon/sky under the car , put car in 4L , low rpm and u will come out! Caution: Do not remove any sand under the wheels and do not remove any sand from the side @Mohamed Seidam

Thanks @Gaurav for an exciting first part where we drove fast , crisscrossing, climbing without much momentum and pushing ourselves. So many bushes scare me even more now , thinking when the tyres will pop out. The drive ended with a perfect crest at a shaded area where we had a fantastic brushing up of all that we know and learn more. Can we recover a car which is crested front to back ( in the center from front end to back while ridge riding) without a tug and only using a shovel. ? Some pictures uploaded in the gallery.
