Considering to buy an Armada - Is it a good choice?
dune jockey replied to prajupramod's topic in Nissan Armada Forum in UAE
Yes , get something which suits your budget and can take you to any level of driving Keep in mind the weight of the car, Power (V6/V8), SWB/LWB , Presence of gizmos (Diff lock, Crawl control etc). There is a dedicated thread on this webpage with respect to prices and off road endurance, you can check on that in the link below Best 4x4 cars under 10K and 20K dhs in UAE - Offroad General Discussion - Carnity.com -
Prepping car for summer driving
dune jockey replied to Jasim Khumi's topic in Off-Road Club's Discussions
1. Yes a OBD sensor should help you. I read you have a SWB Pajero and hence overheating should be less of a probability if you use tiptronic gears and lesser weight means lesser strain on the engine/transmissions. Some senior members here have installed a extra fan on their pajeros for better cooling which is switched on while off-roading . ( For my car - Xterra there is a hack to get the engine temperature in degrees which helps to keep the heating checked) 2. Not mandatory to have off road lights, high beam with fog lamps should be okay as you will be following the car in front of you. Totally your comfort and choice to get an additional light, which is always helpful nevertheless on a night drive. My two cents, I am not a Pajero expert. Other members will shed more light for sure in due course -

Trip report with a 🙂 Fab start to a packed week at work?... I would say yes atleast for me , and I wonder it was the same for all of you.?🤔 Always love coming back here at Margham for that nice breezy drive through some nice playable dunes , and it was great to have a varied mix of cars and drivers today for that. You all drove exceptionally well for a newbie drive to manage the challenges , which I kept on bumping up as soon as I realised all were nicely warmed up for it. Special thanks to @Ranjan Das for being by 2nd lead and the defacto lead for all of you, @Ahab Shamaa for performing center forward to perfection ( although you got only one chance to pull) and @Tamas Hoffmann for sweeping and chipping in last moment for support. Well done all of you - @Ranjan Pattanaik ( it was a pleasure to see how well you drove that explorer of yours )@Lakshmi Narasimhan ( well driven, minor refusals ),@Nithin Vaidir ( did well before early exit. I hope your family is all well), @Azfar Aboobakar ( sorry for missing you out as we had already finished briefing and were ready to leave) , @Richard Franks ( great to see how well you managed in all areas with that Rubicon) , @Kenneth Bollhardt (newly promoted to FB and how well you deserved that was seen on this drive) , @Ahmed Wagdy (some minor refusals, but all part of the game and learning-well done), and @N@ved ( great to have you on any drive with that cute little TJ of yours). Enjoy your week at work, remember this is not a weekend. 🤣😜 Cheers !
