Totally agree @Srikumar. But frankly as I said it was a very tight pocket like situation and I was above from the entry to exit. It was getting a bit dark, we were getting into slightly tighter spots and probably only when I entered from a small crest I realized the other car was getting stuck.Radio communication was spot on but there was some lag due to the situation we were in. Lorenzo and Jorge were behind me.I Was very sure I wasn't losing any momentum and hence went ahead - probably not a very good judgement in hindsight now! But I will keep your advise in mind, and try to keep more distance in future.

Thank you everyone for your valuable feedback and suggestions. Last drive with @Ale Vallecchi, I was behind @Anish S who was driving very well. But when we entered little sweihan in one soft spot on side slope Anish was stuck and I was quite behind and with my momentum I was able to go above (3 to 4 cars distance)and clear. I am not sure if it was wise but I made that decision in split second considering the momentum I had or else we would have been stuck one above other.@Wrangeld had the best visual probably. @Frederic recovered Anish from side slope with a tug, which I could not visualize as I was way ahead in front. Hence this topic came in my mind for better understanding.

Yes, I agree each situation here is different. But wanted to emulate the scenarios so that we are better informed when actually faced with a similar situation. Theory before the practicals🤣 Forward or backward? to minimise the chances of rollover which is not a very comfortable situation.Going front /Back - will reduced the chance of roll over?

Dear All ( especially @Rahimdad, @Gaurav, @Srikumar, @Frederic, @Emmanuel, @Asif Hussain, @Wrangeld , @Ale Vallecchi) I would like to know the correct method for self recovery/assisted recovery when stuck on a side slope. While doing side sloping on extremely soft sand one tends to get stuck on a slope in one of the three positions as depicted in the pictures below - Line diagrams of cars. Kindly opine How to recover in the Following situations - when shovelling /tug would be needed? 1. Stuck with car being horizontal - (MOST TRICKY and DEBATABLE ?) 2. Stuck with Car front pointing Up 3. Stuck with Car front pointing down

Please add my dear friend @Mohamed Seidam from Palestine ( No 39). He has just bought a new X , and now he will be driving carefree. Great to be among you all, learning from eachother and helping.

A good air compressor is as important as tyre, especially in the middle of desert when you have a pop out . I am using the DM camel one now, but definitely planning to buy a proper branded one soon. Something or the other keeps breaking/burning/leaking with the DM compressors - hose leak, fuse bust, wiring problems, switch issues. Probably in total one ends up spending the same amount of money keeping the DM one working in the long run.

Fantastic morning drive @Frederic and @Mels Wolf. Kudos to all drivers for maintaining good pace and managing well. The smile on my son's face said it all 😊, thanks Mels. Meanwhile the camels we saw were also moving like in a convoy, maintaining distance . I wonder if they ever get stuck? 🤣
