  9. Pre Drive Info , Please READ before you join this NIGHT drive Welcome to Carnity Off road Club Newbie Night drive . Please Note the following important points to keep in mind and and adher to it for your own and every one safety please : If this drive is your first one in convoy with Carnity i highly recommend NOT to join it for the first time at night and instead please let your first drive be in day light to get aquatinted and the next one can be at night. If this is your first Night Drive , regardless of your rank , dont worry and note the following tips to keep in mind : 1. No Need for Off Road Lights , if you have them its ok , and the high beam stock light and fog lights is more than sufficiant as you are following the light of the front car ahead. 2. the distance between cars falls to half , meaning that if in day light we keep for example 6 to 8 cars difference in the night would be 3 to 4 as the speed by default is reduced to half as well. 3. Radio communication is Vital . NO one is permitted to cross the dune unless hearing clearily from the one who crossed on the radio CLEAR . 4. Please when ever we stop for a break or any reason and you exit your car keep the radio with you always and dont keep the radio in the car. also please see where you step in the pitch black by carrying a torch . also try to avoid being near bushes as the night kreepers usually hide there. 5. please make sure to have full cover of your feet and legs to protect them from those kreepers . If you have any queries please leave them in the thread and will try to our best knowleage to answer them. more to come approaching the time of the drive before closure of the RSVP one day before . 10. I would like to share my experience with my own car which I know exactly where its center of gravity lies , so should every one know his own car point of center of gravity. From the clip it looks like the car is inclined toward the other side the slip side . However with close observation ( that’s why always get out of your car when feasible and safe and look around ) the center of gravity didn’t cross the crest and the crest acted like a ( speed bump ) to overcome forward. Consequently it would be easier to reverse it down than to overcome it because the center of gravity is at the hard side of the crest irrespective of how the apparent looking of the car. now as such and without shovelling the backward gentle stretch or pull as you see in the clip is far easier than if we have tried from in front . To make this more clear . Let’s imagine if we have shovelled properly creating the V channel just clearing the ( speed pump ) this means we moved the center of gravity passed the crest toward the slip side or at least no speed pump or crest to over come and then the forward movement will bring it down As this is the most common scenario we encounter . see below please from another Carnity drive last winter in lisaili Now look closely the little difference with great impact after shovelling . I didn’t even need to press the gas just lifting off the brake and here we go
  11. Hello every one time to revive this post and keep it dynamic and useful so it can be a reference to all of us to share experience and discuss . here we go yesterday I was pulled from my crest from back . We all talk about front heavy or back heavy and according to this comes the pull direction . Sounds logical of course . The question is what does it mean which side is heavy ? see below and let me know how you think of it . ( I wish I could have more picture from the side and the front )
  12. What a lovely Drive that was yesterday. Thank you all dear friends for coming and revealing together one of the dozens of mysteries of Lisaili😄 . Looking at my previous tracks no one is alike not even close , that’s why they call us the explorers , desert wanderers and dune surfers 🏄‍♀️. @Looper in the second lead never missed a step and kept the convoy safe on track behind you. Extraordinary as usual 👍 @Stumpy Paj last minute joiner, pleasure, and in fact you managed it among the wrangler pack disguised in your elegant beast . No issue at all . 👍thanks for coming 🙏 @Marketa Dobesova “ v modra wrangler “😉 in the blue or yellow as Deepak mentioned your skill and attention is what matter . You drive fantastic excellent progress through Carnity ladder 👍 @DP1011 as always having you in any drive is so joyful and helpful . Thanks for the milky sweets 🙏 @Ignacio Quindós driving behind Deepak and in-front of Ale , with respect to your undoubted skills , gave you freedom and a treat to capture some beautiful pictures thanks 🙏 last but not least many thanks for @Ale Vallecchi who made sure that all cars are complete when we crossed the barmuda triangle 😉 . Pleasure to see you my friend after such a long time 🙏 please take care till another episode and from now onwards will be night drives . Cheers
  13. There are always next time inshallah dear @Pranjal Varsani1 we missed you yesterday.
