If happens that it’s your first night drive better to avoid it . the plan is to cross the desert almost in a straight line from Lisaili across Murqab ending passing the middle earth on either side of the Chimney. to understand and imagine that there only one way to know which is to sign in to this drive . prepare your ropes , winches if available, shovels and above all your lightened spirits to lit the dark for all of us . We request every member that joins this drive to go through the information below and strictly follow these guidelines, etiquette and responsibilities. Dear Friends Hello and welcome to Carnity offroad club . One of my favourite and a popular route is the way from tawi nezwa to big red via pink rock and where in the dark can be a challenge to all your senses to be alert and focus. few points worth mentioning here regarding desert driving in the night , more to be emphasized and reminded during the brief at the meeting point . 1. No need for offroad lights except for car number 1 . If you have them that’s ok to use them unless the front car asks kindly to let it off. All what you need is just to follow strictly the front car . The high beam stock lights/fog lights are adequate in convoy trips 2. Always see where you step ( hand torch or headlight ) during inflation , deflation and during the breaks. 3. Try to avoid the bushes when out from car . 4. it’s highly recommended to have your legs and feet covered as creepers like exposed feet and legs 😅 5. always carry your radio where ever you go. 6. the speed and distance between cars falls into half of that during daylight drive ( will talk more in the brief ) 7. Desert driving rules holds valid and more emphasized here as we are bound with limited visibility. last but not least night drives are different world to explore and experience. It’s nice , cool and it’s another level of enjoyment . @khlief@JC_E@Jose Luis Campos@Michael asir@Alex K@Faraz94 Thank you all for joining the drive yesterday . we could have done more in lisaili but my X decided to choose the limp mode after the first true criss cross . i was searching where is the problem seems its internal burning issue of the engine oil that need to be sorted out ( gasket ( most probably ) , piston ring and communication to the coolant less luckily ..etc ) any way thanks for the extra oil and the patience . after all the secret garden was the savior . i enjoyed chatting with you guys nearby our lovely lake. till we see each other next time take care and have a lovely weekend . Dear sunset chasers , twilight lovers and sand cravers hello and welcome to a weekday quick spin exploring the mystical lisaili through the beautiful sunset view where in the second half we will be catching up with the last strings of light to enter the the dark side where we eventually get to the exit most probably at Qudra . This drive will offer a good opportunity to experience both day and night drives in gradual smooth manner. please check your car your gear and radios one day prior to the drive . P.S : offroad lights not mandatory, except for the lead car , in the night portion of the drive and all what you have to do is to make sure that your stock high beam lights as well as the rear lights are working and to follow exactly the rear red light in-front of you .
