@varunmehndiratta, Yeah this shovel is probably small, @Wrangeld calls them spoon😂. Try the 35 Aed Shovel from Speedex, it is big enough and fits the JL trunk. Cheers

Another amazing drive by @Jeepie We covered around 60 Kms, great stuff guys👍 Sand was really soft in some areas, but everyone managed well. We really didn't have much of a hold up anywhere, pop out fix was relatively quick and some crusted situations quickly managed by shoveling. @Arman ,well done as SL @Francois Germishuys, thanks for you support in recoveries. @Shehab Alawadhi, thanks for giving me the soup sand challenge 😉 See you soon!!

I was lucky to get a 4 months used plastic bumper from Dubizzle at a throw away price. The owner changed to metal bumpers. I had relocated the number plate to rear tyre, and cut the excess plate holder area on the bumper to make the bottom uniform to avoid scooping of sand while descending. Will be looking to mount a aluminum plate below bumper as @Frederic advised.

Thanks @Gaurav , will check if the metal bumper comes with rubber bumpstop. @Rahimdad, unfortunately I do not have offroad cover, thus insurance will not be coving that. I will soon be getting an offroad insurance.

@Frederic, Yes the bumper breaks from scooping up sand during decent. @Srikumar thanks, very valid points. As mine is already broken I have to get new one, they charge around 1400 AED for new fiber bumper vs metal one which is around 1900AED. Metal one is Rubicon model and was told it doesn't have RTA issue (hopefully).

Dear Wranglers, Recently my Wrangler JL Sport's rear bumper got broken. I have noticed that this is a common issue and in the last couple of drives, @Goutam, @Nabil Bishara had also faced similar issue with rear bumper. I had been to couple of garages to fix the bumper, but unfortunately the bumpers being fiber will be hard to fix. Also it is very likely that the same issue can happen again. For stock JL/JK Sport, the issue with rear bumper is that the number plate area is placed below the bumper frame. This becomes the main contact area during dune basing. I was advised by the garages ,if you plan on using the stock fiber bumper, it would be better to cut the number plate area and mount the plate on the side. In my case, as the bumper is already broken, I plan on replacing it with Rubicon metal bumper which will cost around 1900AED. Please advice if any of you had come across other solution. Hi @Chaitanya D I will not be able to make for the drive. During the liwa drive, my rear bumper got broken. Was hoping to get it fixed , but the garages are only open from tomorrow. Thanks
