  1. What an adventure! Can't thank you enough Fredie @Frederic for coneptualizing and executing and everything in between. You take the cake! My very first true overlanding experience and couldn't have asked for more as this one had it all from a mundane following the fence to scary moments to regular burst of adranaline traversing the bowls and dunes. thanks also to @Gaurav, @Srikumar, @JeromeFJ and @munkybizness for the constant support and sharing doses of 'spirit' (of adventure of course) to get us, the herd, across. @Foxtrot Oscar - it was very nice following your lines once again. By the way, if you haven't noticed, your right rear break l lights are not working 😉 @Mus_hus78, @salah2u, @KAMALIO, @Ashutosh Garg, @AlexM, @Amr Aydin, @Naveen Rajthank you for your company which made the adventure even more enjoyable. Already looking forward to the second episode of this drive to 1. go the whole hog and 2. seal it with a pic!
  2. I will join the chorus and congratulate + thank you @Varun Mehndiratta for the super drive you led last Saturday. it was virtually a nonstop, highspeed, heart thumping and exhilarating drive from the word go and kudos to you for keeping it at that fluid level throughout the time we were driving. It was nice to see the entire convoy bringing their A games – absence of refusals and/or major stuck was testimony to everyone’s skills, focus and resilience. thank you @Hisham Masaad for the support. Your presence in any drive lifts the mood and morale of the whole convoy to another level and Saturday's was no different. @Beide Worku - trust your ride is all sorted without much hassel and is fit for the adventure awaiting us coming weekend - hope to see you there. @Naveen Raj @Gertjan @Vaibhav @Simon D @Tareq Al Turq @Ranjan Das @Mohamad Anwer was nice meeting you gentlemen; your company made the drive even more exciting. My adventure continued a bit longer. In my rush to rush home pushing my dear jeep on the expressway around 130 kmph; was about to reach Al Faqa when my front right tyre gave up. Spent couple of seconds in 1. realising what just happened 2. to keep the jeep steady and the toughest part 3. to steer the jeep on to the left kerb in evering speeding traffic. Those were some anxious moments - thankfully i and my jeep were safe. Most probable cause as per the guys at the shop was the tyre taking a beating or going over a nair/barbed wire - well that's history as my girl has new pairs of shoe to sport and one spare too . Most thankful to @Waqas Parvez and @ASAD. for stopping and extending their support - thank you guys and really appreciate the gesture. Eventually had to get a ride for my ride to end the ride - that's perhaps overdoing a bit ... already looking forward to the next one!
  3. Well done @Bjoern, congratulations on the new level. Enjoy!
  4. Hi @Frederic, point on additional fuel is well noted. However, will we be in the vicinity of any fuel station end of day 1 or thereabouts and can do a quick detour to top up the tanks?

Shuweib- so near, yet so far…. @Hisham Masaad, I injured my shoulder this morning and now roaming around with a sling around my neck ; nothing major, just need to give it some rest. my bad that I need to pull out of the drive. 13. As they say, 'there's alway a first time'! and it was for me today...by the time i could log in it was 14 minutes too late, was (still am) 4th on the WL. When i'm the inspiration (hope that's the case ) i should at least be on the drive - how about you waving your magic wand and handing me a wild card entry @Hisham Masaad, even a back door entry would do - your choice Keeping my fingers crossed.
