  1. Our plan vs. actual track. We did a lot of planning, we spent a whole working day doing so, and that that's what saved us from getting disqualified instead of being 3rd, as we noticed we won't be able to do much if we try one more waypoint and instead return to the starting point. Things went south at Waypoint 7 (Red 7) where we could have done better in achieving points. Till Way Point 9 (Red 5) we were ahead of time, but the fatigue of getting points at WP 7 and a couple of pop outs before and after WP 9 (Red 5) took all the energy out of us and we couldn't catch up with the time. This was our first time doing anything like this and we were learning everything on the job in the middle of a serious competition. Having said that, we gained a tremendous amount of experience and are better prepared for the next year. If I were to do the exact same track it now, I am sure I would be able to do not only 215 that we initially planned but at least 240. I wait eagerly for #DCT24.
  2. You have to understand the boundaries as gradients rather than a hard line. Just like the waypoints it feathers out in all directions.
  3. @Zulfikhar Naiyar congratulations buddy on your promotion to Intermediate level.
  4. Congratulations @GauravSoni on the fantastic showing in the #DCT2023 tryely marvlous showing.
  5. Thanks @Gertjan, @Sunil Mathew & @Pacific to join the drive. For what’s worth, we drove in a leisurely manner taking a lot of breaks but we drove fast. The initial section was fantastic in Sweihan Area… … even the approach to Nagra Hill was pretty good but the Nagra Hill itself is trash. So much trash around the area plus every square inch of the hill is double and triple crossed by tracks and it was quite a disappointment to drive on the hill. Having said that we drove a fantastic 72+ km in 2 and half hours including most tall dunes in the sweihan area. It was a fantastic practice for me for tomorrow’s #DCT23 See you all once again very soon.
  6. Sure buddy see you in the morning. We will all see what’s happening there 🤣…
  7. I am planning something else altogether since morning. But yes we are go for tomorrow morning.
  8. Quite a smart place to hold the challenge. New for almost all of the participants. except for a handful who have a glimpse of the terrain, so it will be a nice challenge for most. I would have said that the terrain is mostly soft, but that statement isn't going to be valid as of now. Great Job on #DCT2023!

  15. @Hisham Masaad, I have learnt a lot from you during your time. Very sad to see you go and I will seriously miss your drives. Best of luck for your never ending adventures. Thank you and farewell. See you soon!
  16. Please use the attached GPX file or this GaiaGPS link to import the GPS waypoints. This is a set of 10 way points that one could try to complete over a period of 6 hours. This done as part of the preparation for Carnity DCT 2023. This list covers some of the interesting places to visit in Qudra, Murquab, Faqa, Sloar Park and back. Hope you enjoy the drive. 17. For a JL you can just disable Traction (single press) and ESC (long press of TC button for about 6 seconds while transmission in Parking) and it is more than enough. While it does not kill Airbags or ABS it is perfect for desert driving. The only issue is that once you go to 4 low for self recovery etc., and come back to 4H you have to redo the process of TC and ESC disabling. I have Tazer JL that kills the ABS as well at the same time retains the TC/ESC disable-ness even if you move to 4L and back to 4H. It has some more advances especially for a stock head-unit (I have Stinger High10 unit). You can refer more 👉 HERE 👈 about TazerJL
