  2. @Ale Vallecchi please waitlist me for the drive… have a scheduled meeting at 4… hoping that it gets preponed!
  3. I have been driving my LWB 3.8 with 4HLC setup since my fewbie plus days… the behaviour of the car is lot different on churned up tracks… Even with short run up to steep short climbs, car seems to have more grip and control!
  4. @Tero Vallas all the best and a have a great time ahead!
  5. @Lorenzo Candelpergher thanks for adding me… my schedule cleared up!!! M just on my way to pickup my car from garage as it had some repairs identified yesterday… hopefully should be on time at the starting point!
  6. Hi @Ale Vallecchi with heavy heart I will have withdraw from the drive today. 😔Car was today for a routine check and we indentified a leaking steering box… won’t be until tomorrow that I can get my car! It’s always better to identify the problem while it’s in garage then in the middle of the dunes!
  7. Hi @arjumand welcome!! For radio …you can buy from dragon mart…. Baofeng UV5r or UV9R should be good! Don’t buy the once without the display as you will need to program the Carnity channels. A good radio will cost you max around 150 AED… if you bargain price can go to about 130.
  8. @Foxtrot Oscar I love how the colour of my car keeps changing in drive descriptions!!😂 wish I could switch as often. looking forward for the drive!
  9. @Lorenzo Candelpergher just noticed that the posts location is Tawi Nazwa while in the description we are looking to start from 2nd December cafe! Please confirm!
  10. Totally Agree @Abu Muhammad . The heaviest cars had a task on their own to navigate with churned up tracks on tight manoeuvres. As for me , the Stuck happened as I lost momentum with cars having refusals ahead. It was a nice challenge to find the right distance from the car ahead with balance of “can see the manoeuvre “ and “not get stuck due to loss of momentum”. @Lorenzo Candelpergher I did find the limits of my car!! Sailing through some of the areas which had refusals ahead does have sense of accomplishment. The building heat and no airflow on strenuous self recovery heated up the transmission. M now researching some additional ways to control it. The car was perfectly fine as we started rolling again.
  11. @Chaitanya D thanks for a very eventful and exciting night drive. As far as I recall this was probably the first night intermediate drive for me!.. a nice fast paced drive with manoeuvres left right and Center of the crests and ridges! well driven everyone! @PacificI hope your car won’t keep you away for long time and that this only makes you keep going! I hope you had fun sweeping the convoy! Job well done @Rob H It was amazing to see @Thomas Varghese drive through the night. Some tricky areas but you managed it very well! Excellent teamwork by everyone ,with instructions of our fine marshal to get his X out of a tricky situation. See you guys soon!
  12. @Thomas Varghese thanks for the appreciation. We are all here to enjoy the peace we get listening to our engines roar! Everything else is just secondary!
