  1. @Wrangeld that was a ‘Richards Greatest Hits’ drive …. All your signature moves - radio silent first third, surprise technical middle run and closing with a faster pace joy ride! Combine that with the puns, dad jokes and tv references … you can officially tick all the boxes! super convoy, great support from @Mehmet Volga and special kudos to @Alex Raptor as being a SL in the raptor, following richard with his mid-pun reroutes cannot have been easy!
  2. @Ale Vallecchi sadly I couldn’t secure time away to make this trip! Have a great time out there and look forward to joining your lead again soon!
  3. @Islam Soliman I am in @Wrangeld convoy and he suggested maybe we meet up with you… if so I am very happy to get stuck, crested and beached to allow the GoTech group to shovel away! #teamWork @Islam Soliman don’t be put off by the current turn out… I’ll be on your next one of these, that I promise and many of us love these type of drives and challenges!
  4. @Ale Vallecchi would it be possible to add me to the drive with confirmation tomorrow? I am still trying to negotiate the calendar to join 🙏🏽
  5. @Christopher Assal has a set of the new Michelin ATs on his SS. Worthy addition to your list! I have read the AT3 4S may be slightly lighter than the G015s (do a quick check online for your size) - these two are seemingly the most popular in our club - I have the G015 and love them (off and on road). Bead locks give that added security however are not essential - if you have the budget and/or want to change the look of your rims then why not… else hold out and enjoy the ATs on stock.
  6. @Chaitanya in Gaurav's defense - it was an unflattering angle and not a fair reflection of reality ... that said what are friends for if not to find every opportunity to insult each other .... this is also the reason i am never allowed to have family pictures uploaded until the wife has moderated/approved!
  7. Cannot leave a drive like this without a post-drive message! @Gaurav massive thanks for the trip! You trying to 'down-sell' the drive didn't work for our sign ups but maybe some other groups read that, as it felt we had Iftar bowl as our playground for near 45 mins with minimal interruption!! Immensely grateful to @Brette and @Hisham Masaad as i can fully understand why this area is usually the domain of FB+/Int, so many potentially opportunities to split convoys and forced re-routes etc. None of which happened today and much of that is to the quality and discipline of convoy but also these two in support! Amazing performance by everyone! not a single driver (either 1, 2nd or more attempts) was left without concurring the bowls and i learnt so much watching you all and appreciate @Gaurav marshalling us to the top and down safely each and every time!! @munkybizness special shout out to you, having learnt after the ride the experience you had near 10 years ago!!! Even more impressive that you kept re-attempting each time taking the council of the leads and getting to the top! onwards and upwards for you now! The suspension test track for a few KMs was a brilliant end to a great morning and we were all envious of @James Thorn with his air suspension at that point! hats off to all the drivers - I got a lot of confidence and learning watching you all as it has helped me out of my comfort zone (i have previously avoided drives with big climbs ) I tried to get a few pics of each and every car ( gallery ) at Iftar Bowl See you all on the dunes soon!
