  1. Congrats @N@ved for the well deserved promotion. So I can get more videos of drive from you during IM drives. I love the video you took of my car climbing the dune.
  2. congrats @Lawrence_Chehimi. Well deserved and it will be fun to drive with you on IM level.
  3. Dear Richard @Wrangeld does this mean I need to get out and buy a flat bed jack now along with the wooden plank?
  4. Did you remove the tire to see inside and clean it? Better check as in this scenario the tire may take in some sand and cause a pop out later.
  5. Its only an editing trick which brought out your headshot from all the darkness inside the car. Next time we will take a proper picture if time allows. This is what you can do if you shoot in Camera RAW format rather than JPEG. Your head was lost in the darkness of the interior of the car. I just cleared the darkness and your head just popped out
  6. Bingo. Now you have the recipe. Negligible bump for you but not for the poor malnutritioned tire. Even before you hit the negligible bump your tire must have started to lose air when you fish tailed excellently just before hitting the bump which hastened the process. Absolutely correct.
  7. I also had a pop out yesterday and the 1 & 2 reasons contributed to the tire telling me enough of your antics, I give up. I was fishtailing on a super soft dune which had a sharp turn and as conditions were perfect for the pop out it happened. Could I have done better if I knew all the principles? Probably not. What actually gave relief was the quick fix from Angela @Foxtrot Oscar & @Chaitanya D with all the tools required. My suggestion to @Lakshmi Narasimhan is even if you know the reasons and evading measures in the heat of the drive nothing much helps. Don't worry about the pop out but rather worry about if you have the proper tools to be back on track if that unfortunate incident happens.
  8. Dear @Lakshmi Narasimhan I had a similar pop out on the same side and position for the pop out you mentioned. The reason was obvious. I was speeding on a deflated tire and hit a step which let the air out because the seating between the bead and the tire separated for a brief moment which lead to the pop out. In this video I think I saw you also jumping down a step. Probably this caused your tire to pop out.
  9. In short Richard @Wrangeld is implying you are on your own if you make a mistake and get stuck. Sounds great. I started my prayers already not to get stuck as its too difficult to shovel with my hefty frame. As I couldn't think of any usable excuses to back out I'm in. Moreover I RSVP'ed for this drive as I don't have 1 on Friday. Could have but my daughter is returning back home on Friday after her vacation and felt bad when she said I can keep the keys under the doormat if I'm going for a drive and she will take a taxi home. Richard has already whipped up the curiosity and I can't wait to do my 3rd IM drive. Hopefully I won't be physically tested to the limits. Godspeed to Saturday.
