  1. @Rahimdad u didn't see @syed salman raza's enquiry about a SWB offroader in our website? He is even ready to buy another 4 X 4 so that he can explore the desert with all of us. Must be feeling so bored spending Friday's at home.
  2. How can Al Tayer Motor's hold a desertnaut's wish to cruise in the desert to ransom like this? Can you imagine how much @syed salman raza must have felt lost not wandering in the desert for all this time? If I was in his place I would have just walked upto the garage, grabbed the car and drove out.
  3. I believe the F - 150 is not under warranty. Only @syed salman raza can answer this.
  4. @Rahimdad I spoke with @syed salman raza. The Al Tayer people couldn't even identify the source of the steering fluid leak till now as per Mr. Syed Salman Raza. They are following a protocol which their company has. If there is a leak appearing in this area change everything related to that and till now they don't have the spares. So what is the point in idling the car in their workshop for more than 2 weeks now.? Better to take it out and give it to someone who can repair it. Anyways whatever he changes is going to be sacrificed in the sands very soon after all the battering the machine takes.
  5. Agreed. I didn't want to disappoint a newbie for a chance to drive by taking their place when I can join something advanced that they cannot. If there is any vacant slot in any of your drives for newbies you can include me & I'll be happy to join. By the way @Frederic I always follow the lessons you taught us during my 1st AN drive. If I can be of any assistance to you in any of the newbie drives you can always count me in. I just need only 4 hours notice to join. Run back home, get the flag and the rest of the gear to join you.
  6. Please @Frederic. The desert is beautiful during sunrise and sunset. As drivers are getting experienced I rarely get an opportunity to take pics as there are fewer stucks or refusals.
  7. when is the next drive exclusively for photography going to be @Frederic?
  8. @Wrangeld as I have joined @Tbone's afternoon drive you can waitlist me as my 2nd drive.
  9. I was waiting from morning to RSVP for the drive. Unfortunately when I clicked going the web page said paid subscriber's area and not authorized. By the time time I somehow managed to return back to the page the RSVP was full. Anyways I'm waiting in the wings for anybody to drop out as your drives are always exciting @Wrangeld but wish everybody to remain. I can take a place in a newbie or fewbie drive even now.
  10. The best advice I got from the authorized workshop for Nissan when my Altima crossed the 400000 km mark was don't waste your time and money repairing the car with them. They are the ones who adviced me to take it to a local garage and get things repaired. Frankly I saved a lot of time and money after heeding their advice. All the genuine spare parts are available in local spare parts shops at much cheaper price and the local mechanic repairs them much faster and saves money. For Authorized workshops there is no repair. They just change the part and give you back. The only thing I miss now is the free coffee or tea which they used to give.
  11. Get it towed on a recovery truck and give it to a garage who can repair the car. Anyways whatever repair you do its going to be sacrificed in the dunes
