  1. Thanks @Islam Soliman for a good and fun drive, indeed the terrain was quite different with all the rain. Great convoy as well, it was quite challenging at some parts, i was expected much more refusals, yet it was quite smooth ride. See you all on the sand again soon
  2. Sorry @Davie Chase just saw the message and couldn't make it tomorrow unfortunately
  3. No Worries Freddie, Get well soon, and try to keep away from the rest of the family, it is our usual practice, once one gets it, it keeps circulating in the house for months :)🫣
  4. Thanks, a lot @Frederic, it was a pleasant NYE, thanks for planning this, i think the location was good, it is not far, didn't need to deflate, yet we were the only ones there and we could see the fireworks, hopefully it will remain the same next year, in the morning i could see some constructions going arround.
  5. Hi all, @Jessica Lambert and myself are at the meeting spot (supposedly) are we the only ones here or we are waiting at the wrong spot?

  10. thanks a lot @Frederic for arranging such and interesting and enjoyable drive. to top it up with a dip in the sea making it a unique drive. thanks @munkybizness, @Looper and @Pacific for supporting this drive
  11. Just few points to consider from a practical point of view: - As easy as it is to open and fold the tent where you can store all sleeping accessories like pillows, covers ...etc (which is a nice advantage), but you have to consider leveling the whole car as much as possible to have a comfortable sleep, i never thought about that untill i saw it with a friend it is not very easy on the sand. - for an FJ it will add a considerable weight in addition to wind resistance and noise on highways. I just added a roof rack and it makes to much noise driving 140km on a highway, eventually u will get used to it but the wind resistance will always make you reduce ur speed and consume more gas. - depending on the weight of the tent and if the car has an elevated suspensions already, the center of gravity of the car shifts significantly with inclination, just to consider especially when side slopping or with aggressive turns.
  12. Thanks @Ale Vallecchi for the nice drive, we learned alot through the drive, we were all listening to the radio attentively as if it Netflix on the radio, really exciting, thanks @DP1011 and @Pavel Pashkovskiy for the support and special thanks for the coffee. Overall it was an amazing drive because of the whole convoy that drive nicely even though it got a bit technical at the end. @Pavel Pashkovskiy pictures are very nice, you have a good eye.

  15. My First Absolute Newbie drive was lead by @Ale Vallecchi, for me it was would either make me continue the off-roading path, doing all the great drives that followed and meet all the remarkable off-roaders on sand, or just give it up all together. the drive was really remarkable and smooth that got us all hooked up since then, thanks @Ale Vallecchi
