Congrats @Gregory -
Thank you @marks for the selection of terrain today, technical, challenging yet interesting. Had to choose the approching tracks more carefully for the best momentum, as the two leads' cars are both shorter in WB than my car. It's been a complete month since I did my AB newbie drive with @marks, and I hope I have presented decent amount of progress today. Thanks to @Jeepie @Russ @Nabil Bishara for the support and guidance, this drive wouldnt be smooth without your inputs. Till next time!

Finally seeing another R51! !!! BTW don't get D shackles as they might get broken during tugging and hit your car and cause severe damage. Get rated soft shackles if you really need shackles. But definitely not from dragon mart

Yeah that's one of my concern too, but I see that the roof lighting can cover wider range. Anyways I already did my purchase of 20inches, going to have it fixed on bumper now and will test it on nearby sand later tonight. I am going to install it either on the bar where the number plate holder is fixed on, or the bar right below the front grill, neither of the options should affect the air intake. lets see.

I have bought a 20inch LED light bar tonight and will have it installed tomorrow. Just wondering where should I install it? I have seen ppl put the light bar on the lower bumper and ppl put the light bar on the roof. Any suggestions? I'd prefer it on the bumper only because installing on bumper is easier and I wouldnt mind having holes on the bumper.

Thanks alot @Nivin ! This works for Pathfinder r51 too! Super useful! Just the digital speedometer is averagely 10 kmh slower than the dash pin, I don't have the balls to test the accuracy with the speed camera 🤣

To lift or not to lift? That is the question
Cha replied to Foxtrot Oscar's topic in Nissan Xterra Forum in UAE
I put on a 50mm suspension spacer lift to my pathfinder last week. Everything is good, no gravity issue no rubbing against any parts. My tyre size is 265 70 r16 (Stock), I believe this should be the same to Xterra if the tyre size matches I did the lift purely to improve pathfinder's poor clearance and angles, and ofc the cost isnt as much as swapping the suspensions, 500 AED for the 4 spacers + labor cost. -

It was a very pleasant drive on the dazzling Saturday afternoon, I believe this is the longest distance I have achieved so far in a Newbie drive. And a very valuable learning session, that every less experienced driver got to follow one of the senior drivers. Thank you so much for the support and assistance during the drive! @Thomas Varghese @Shaaz Sha @MUHAMMAD Kashif RAZZAQ @Jeepie Excellent selection of the route and terrain by @Ale Vallecchi, the drive was challenging and helped me a lot on syncing with my car. Prof. Ale is one of the most informative Marshals that I have driven with by far, couldn't find a better ridge riding 101 professor than Prof. Ale! The pleasance did last long but not long enough, a hose on the radiator came off as we existing. With the help of @Sunil Mathew and Shaaz, we managed to reconnect the hose and had Xterra expert Thomas checking the connection, I reached home with no surprises at all. Thank you all for the assistance and help! @Marky B you did well taking the 3rd position, keep it up. Good to meet all of you, and see you soon on the sands~

I don't drive Pajero but here is my observation my car is partime 4x4, so when put on 4wd it's direct connection at center, 50 50 front back I have noticed that my steering angle is greater than Tim's LC and Vanessa's Pajero (not sure if she uses 4H or 4HLC but I guess 4H). To follow their tracks I have to over steer sometimes and thus lose some traction in the front.

Almost reserved going, then remembered my car needs to be fixed a bit🙄
