  1. Thanks again @M.Seidamand @Rizwanm2, and @topgearfor managing a wondeful first Fewbie drive! Even though I had to cut it short it was still amazing! Also thanks @Indra Ozolafor the concern! He is doing well! Hope to meet you guys again soon! And apologies to all for the inconvenience!
  2. Insha Allah! Looking forward to it! How do you guys wake up at 3.30 in the morning though?? 🤔
  3. Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement! I don't think I have felt such a sense of accomplishment since my graduation!! Looking forward to my first fewbie drive!!
  4. Great drive! Thanks again @Wrangeldfor stepping in and making space for the rest of us on the wait list. Thanks to @Looperas well and all the rest of the team! Was a good pop-out special as well. Lots to learn!
  5. Looking forward to driving with you again @Kailas . What Channel are we going to be on?
  6. Congratulations @Imteeaz! Not long before you hit the expert! And here I am struggling to join a newbie drive when they get full and overbooked in 5 minutes!! @GauravCan we please have more newbie drives so we get a chance to upgrade??😁
  7. Thanks for the warning as well as the encouragement ! Its just that it's such a looooooong drive!
  8. Glad to know that all turned out well! Just to add a few pointers - if for whatever reason you do remove your shoes, turn them upside down, dust them and then put them on. This removes sand as well any critters that may have crawled inside. 2) if you have ice, use it immediately! Apply on the bite/bruise/sting/cut. Any kind if injury, ice will reduce the inflammation and pain. 3) might be a good idea to carry some Bruffen/Voltaren or similar over the counter pain killer. Pandadol/Paracetamol is too mild and NOT anti inflammatory. A calamine ointment will help as well. Lastly an antihistamine will help in Case of any allergy. Just make sure that all these medicines are kept out of the heat and not kept in the car! Keep safe guys!
  9. Eid Mubarak to all! Stay safe guys!
  10. This was truly the most fun drive I have had so far! Understood the meaning of the word "technical dunes" for the first time! Thanks again from the bottom of my heart to @Imteeaz @Looper @Kailas@Warren Flay
  11. I am sorry! I finished work really late today and just saw the message now! I will cancel my RSVP. Hopefully someone will be able to make it from the waitlist! Sincerest apologies again! I have already been accepted for the Sunday drive so I guess I have to cancel this one.
  12. Thanks a ton for the response James! This is exactly the kind if info that I was looking for! Can you tell me which rims you used and whether it caused any issues with rubbing etc and whether any trimming of the wheel well was needed? I bet your ride looks amazing with those tires!! Do share some pictures for inspiration! I actually like the automatic height levelling feature because it makes for easy entry and exit! But if you could let me know the name of the garage who did the mods that would be super useful. My whatsapp is 050- 574 5337. Thanks a ton!
  13. Thanks for the info above Gaurav! There is already a RSCA switch that kills the airbag deployment so that is hopefully not a concern! Also it has what is called a "multi-terrain ABS" but its so annoying when it activates. I think I definitely need to kill that with a switch!
  14. I have a 2010 LX570 which I will keep for my offroad escapades. Is there anyone else who has this vehicle that can suggest offroad mods, tips and tricks which will make this beast more desert worthy? For starters I have done the 'sensor' lift which can be done by changing the positions of the AHC sensors and gain an instant 'lift' of about 0.75 inches. The next mod I would like to do is installing a kill switch for the AHC which makes the car go back to the Normal height mode from the High height mode when the speed exceeds about 32kmph. I will keep this thread updated as and when I have done this. Next would be a kill switch for the traction control, Vehicle stability control and ABS Any other suggestions are welcome.
  15. Thanks again @Gauravand team for a wonderful drive and the late start!! Also a special thanks to @Melanifor taking special care of my bumper! - pun NOT intended! A 9 am drive is definitely a good idea on a lazy weekend! Lets hope this becomes a regular affair due to popular demand!! Here are some pictures that I took!
