Thanks @JeromeFJ do you know if any suitable camping locations near the start point for those of us who are notorious oversleepers? 🤣

Hi @Islam Soliman I think a very good and sensible decision here. Regretful because we all love getting to the sand but safety must come first! Thanks for the update and see you on the next one

Hi @Islam Soliman obviously a lot of rain predicted for the weekend…what’s the general thoughts on that? Drive is on regardless of weather right?

Hi @Kailas, sorry I have to leave this drive as my car is still in the workshop and seems unlikely to be finished before Saturday.

HI @Gaurav, sorry I only just saw this. Regretfully I will have to drop due to other commitments now. Thank you for the note and look forward to seeing you on the next one!

@Frederic regretfully I must also withdraw from tomorrow’s drive. A gym injury collected this evening prevents me from driving safely. I’m sorry to drop at such a last minute. See you on the next one!

Fred, as you know I just followed your journey this weekend and I can’t thank you enough for your support in directions! Just in case anyone doesn’t want to drive from Oman, a rental Suzuki Vitara is very capable of most of these trails! Thanks again @Frederic, this was a hugely inspiring post. For anyone else following Fred’s journey in future, I highly recommend reading this thread in detail…the level of planning contained is incredibly useful.

Thanks @Frederic for your kind support on some of the drives here…indeed I can verify it is a beautiful area in Salalah. Your write up has come in very useful, thank you for sharing!

Hi Brette, I just messaged you but suffice to say American trucks are unreliable and I can’t even get mine started this morning. I’m sorry but I’ll have to miss this after all 😢 what a let down.

Ignore this, if there is space and you’ll still have me I’d love to join!

Amazing drive, really one of the best! Thanks for all the support, guidance and patience from everyone! It was fun to push the truck into territory normally reserved for SWB vehicles 😄

Hi @Islam Soliman thanks for the add but I’m actually going to have to drop out after all! Sorry about that. See you on the next one.

What an absolute day of it! Fantastic driving by all, really enjoyed it…clearly the Carnity teamwork really had to come into play today, we wouldn’t have made it through without. Thanks @Vanessa8580 and all the team for a great morning, and sorry for leaving so rapidly after inflation. A great learning experience I think for all, we all picked up some desert scars in some shape or form, and I am definitely looking forward to the next one!

Smashed it @Karthik Raptor, congratulations! its about time we got out into the desert again together soon

Makes sense. There will likely also be a pyro fuse somewhere for the seatbelt tensioners.
-
you may well have cracked it! It’s in the internal fuse box by the looks of things. I’ll try it Saturday
-
@Paul Zietsman no F26 doesn’t disable it as far as I can tell. That only does TC, ABS etc.
I believe that the fuse that does Airbags is also one of the ECM fuses, so it’s impossible to disable. That leads to a glass ceiling for how far we can push the Ram.
That being said, owners of the TRX seem to do fine, so I haven’t been able to figure out what the difference is.
I had my bumper done at Machinehead in Al Quoz
